I was telling Shades earlier...the district has been failing to adhere to attendance policy for YEARS, and state finally caught on. We now have a situation where in a class of 200+ seniors, only about 70 are going to walk the stage, and that number is getting smaller as I grade their final work.

Ohmygoodness.

Now, when you say 'walk,' you mean graduate, or participate in the ceremony?

So every kid I fail is one more kid who won't walk...and that's not a very good thing right now.
