Some compromise, but... I don't think she's asking Earl to change who he is? He sure lets her be her.

Well he has encouraged her to be braver in some ways, and to share more. And she has. But yes, he has to realize that she needs her alone time even when he wants to be right there. And hee's learned that what he sees as protecting her she sees as trying to trap her or hold her back.

Though she's allowed him to do that, to an extent. She has been keeping him in the loop.

But not so big as "CELIBATE PROTO-PRIEST" to "CORADEL'S POOL BOY"

Coradel and August ? Trickier part. They both make some demands on each other. August is being pulled a lot harder to change, but part of that was because he was more inflexible at the start. Coradel is being expected to be devout wife/mother from the get go and that's a lot to askfor a young woman who has a whole world to explore. What pace will they find to make it work? not sure
