They have cookies and hand pies and breads of all sorts.

Eggs and veggies. Anything you can make on a farm or produce. So butter and cheeses too at times.

But of course its all seasonal.

There are no Amish in Oregon, apparently the settlement petered out in the 1920s

A lot of PA food is influenced by the amish. Ohio, less so.

They do use a truck. But they keep the simple and modest clothing and long hair.

But they are allowed patterns and color.

And they are super nice.

And they had sheepdog puppies last month. SO cute!

ok, I was right about my three main states all being high on amish pop. OH & PA are about half of them in the whole country

Ohio amish are friendlier than Lancaster amish.

Lancaster, you get all these bus tours - very commercialized.

Ohio also is VERY FOND of ice cream

Oregon is fond of ....beer?

We have multiple chains that do hand-made ice cream, outdoors, all-year.

We have the Salt and Straw here. They do some great handmade icecream.

I have personally stood outside, in a wool coat, eating me some butter pecan while it snowed.

But you have to wait in line for ever.

Oregon also has deserts, mountains, beaches and forests! And..on the border of Washington...a small rainforest.
