three ideas to start a changeling chronicle: 1) The motley (Hopefully already friends) are hanging out when they see a flash of glamour...and staggering out of the nothing from a flicker flash is a figure with a lantern bursting with balefire "Take it... it needs a new home.. the old one is...." And then the kithain dies from mortal wounds. The players find themselves granted a hold ready to go! but who will they trust with it, or will they keep it themselves? Will the local nobles let them? 2) Tensions rise high between the old Seelie Guard and the Unseelie nobles who clamour for influence. In an attempt to make peace, a local Seelie Baroness agrees to take an Unseelie Baron as a husband and swap thrones with the seasons. During the wedding ceremony, smoke fills the room...and when it clears the baroness appears to be wounded, and worse, poisoned by a dagger blade. The Unseelie lord holds the blade in his hand but looks shocked. Yet some magic is at play obviously blocking him from Gwydion boons and other cantrips that would unravel the mystery easily. Again the baron swears he is innocent! This will take old fashioned detective work. 3) As yet Chrystalised fae (the PCs) get an invitation to a private school for free! Their parents jump on it. One by one the PCs are shown their fae natures by someone who claims he wants to mentor them. A bald boggan in a wheel chair. He claims they are gifted... wait, haven't they seen this story in a comic book? And what does Professor Hex really want?
