And when you describe his looks or his stares. You could almost use verbs for it too. Like you can describe hose his gaze almost seems to coil around someone, choking them....depending on how far you want to take the -snake- like theme.

I fear edging into purple prose. 🙂

Or make him a Whitesnake homage and have him be a rock star with bullshit fauxmentary comments "When you've lived on the streets, you learn real rage, real pain..." "Weren't you raised in suburbia in a wonderful family of five that supported you? "Shut it."
