Well, if you make a character that doesn't have skills in that area, you can't suddenly expect them to shine

Well, the good news is, I suppose, that with Miriam no longer lost/missing/etc Zara can move on to other things. There's plenty of story hooks for her to get involved with, and that's always exciting; exploring new options.
