I has no car. But live in the middle of a large city, so having a car is like paying second rent. Found out from my co-worker that it would be 15 dollars a day, to park for a day at work.

I grew to like stick shifts.

Seen too many automatic cars with transmisison problems. Compare the cost of that with a new clutch.

I live at the top of a hill now though, and I am grateful. Portland tends to flood in the spring. I have not had to deal with that. Seventh floor on top of a hill. But last year I helped with sand bags at the bottom of the hill. Some are still there.

Pittsburgh actually has one of the steepest streets in the world - def. the steepest in the US

Not often -- but just often enough in winter that morons forget that black ice exists and drive like idiots, make traffic hell.

Eastern part of Tennessee

When it last snowed here. The local Safeway was FILLED with people. Panicking. I just wanted some butter.

Southerners tend to freak out over a half inch. When my brother was stationed in Kentucky, they would cancel school even when you could still see grass poking through the snow!

At least you GET snow.
