*As they continue to walk down the street Beth continues to adjust to her new sight. One thing she eventually notices is that she can only see the spirits, not hear them. Eventually they get to the stoop leading up to The Crazy Horse. Probably 1ish by now, the place is still a little busy with patrons, one of the bouncers nods to Tyler and Beth as they enter. Tyler looks to Beth, still concerned Need a drink from the bar?

She shakes her head. "I don't think a drink would help. Best to keep a .... clear head?" She sits at the bar, head in hands. "I guess we have a grocery list? A strange one too." She settles the glasses back on her head, allowing her normal "lens" to come into effect.

*Tyler nods, drawing up a stool and sitting down, his large frame hunched over. So, some Habu Sake, a branch from the tree of Princess Beadle, and two fistfulls of dirt from Kuronbo Gama. *He spits on the ground at the mention of the place I don't like this, Beth. *He orders a Sake and tea from the bar, sipping at it a moment Princess Beadle lives up in Yanbaru forest, you and Murphy had a run-in there on your way here, yes?

"Oh yes." She looks thoughtful. "Perhaps some more gifts? I don't know if I can figure out another husband for her." She furrows her brow in thought. "Do you reckon we can find some fighting Beetles? A big one? She might find it amusing. Then perhaps if we figure out something for a trad..the beetle would just be a good will gift you see..."

"What is Kuronbo Gama?" Her head tilts.

*He scratches at one of the troll-bumps on his head a moment I've never met the Princess, she's very....*Scratches at his head again Well frankly Beth I'm not sure WHAT she is. Murphy once told me she was akin to like...a "cousin", but I never got his meaning. Something quirky might be to her liking though, if she's collecting husbands. *At the mention of Kuronbo he drums his fingers on the bar top a moment before hesitantly replying in a low murmur It's a cave up north. In the 40's, during the American occupation, several servicemen routinely went to a village and would rape the local women. They eventually got cocky and stopped bringing their guns and that's when the villagers retaliated. All three bodies were dumped into a nearby cave and quickly hushed up. *Sips on his drink, eyes looking about to make sure none of the servicemen heard The locals refered to it as "Cave of the dark skinned boys" aka Kuronbo Gama.. Eventually in the 90's one of the villagers felt guilty and told local authorities. American military personal recovered the bodies but...*He shakes his head there are many reasons why some spirits linger on this plane, Beth. Some out of love, or desire...but hate is a strong emotion too. Their spirits continued to harrass the locals for a few years before I came and drove them back into that cave.

She nods to him about the Princess, and well, gift giving is something deeply ingrained in many Asian and Royal cultures after all. Perhaps some gifts and fast talking well be just the ticket. That and a bit of flattery. Then she looks back to him, her night sky eyes taking in Tyler. "It sounds dangerous, even more so for you perhaps I should go alone? Call out if I need back up?"

She leans on the bar, her hair falling forward, cascading over a slender shoulder. "And the Sake?" It seems as though she is waiting. Do they have to fight some strange monster? Drink with spirits? For a change she seems to be hoping for something more mundane. Some slide of hand, some 'borrowing', perhaps some sweet talking?

I'm willing to bet you've heard of Sake, but not Habu Sake. *He says something to one of the bartenders who promptly brings over a very large jar filled with a semi-translucent brown liquid. Floating in said liquid is a large fuck-off sized snake with massive fangs. Tyler smiles. It's a local drink. You take a Habu, a posionous snake local to the island, then drown it in sake and let it ferment. *Pours a shot for himself It supposedly helps "put hair on your chest", servicemen love the novelty...I think it tastes like black tea, personally. *downs the shot, offering one to Beth Jimmy said I can't use my own bottle though so..we'll either have to steal one, or see if any of the rival bars here can "loan" me theirs..*He shakes his head adamantly at the suggestion that she go to the cave alone Those three are especially adept at harming the living. I don't know how. But no, I'm not sending you alone into that house of devils. *Scratches his chin we do have some options, though.

*Gets up from the bar to go into the back area. After a minute he comes back out with the map from his guest room that Beth stayed in. He spreads it on the bar top for her to see.

"Stealing, right. Perhaps we can manage that." She wrinkles her nose a bit, then blinks as he vanishes for a moment to go into the room. As the map is laid down she goes back to studying it.

"Options? I don't suppose they like gifts too?" She sighs a little. "Murph is going to owe me SO much."

*Tyler gives her a look as if to try and confirm what he said about Murph and Trouble earlier. He politely directs her attention to the map of the island which has circles around various religious sites, and even larger circles establishing "Zones". He points to the lowest circle, labelled "Jusan" We are here. *Directing her now to the most northern circle Princess Beadle and Kuronbo Gama are in this territory. *Now pointing to the two middle zones These two zones are controlled by Lord Horatio and Ms. Yoshino respectively. Lord Horatio *pointing to the zone closest to them, and encompassing the shrine Beth went to earlier is a Gwydion who is the closest thing to a religious authority on this island. He overseas the larger spiritual ceremonies that the island and people require...he may have some sort of charm or prayer that could help with The Three, but...he doesn't care for me or my kind. *Under his breath I hear that's common with the "Shee". *Pointing to the zone closest to Beadle's This is Yoshino's area. She's a Nocker, and we've helped each other on several occassions. She's tried dabbling with devices that can affect spirits, I help give advice, she may have something effective as well.

She studies the map carefully and nods. "Nobles might be best avoided. Lord knows I try too." She wrinkles her nose. "But some of them seem very attracted to me. Always offering me glamour." She takes a deep sigh. "I never accept. I don't want to 'owe' them. Not if I can avoid it." She jingles lightly as she moves. Silver bells tied about her ankles and one about her wrist. When did those get there? Isn't rumored in some cultures that they keep away evil spirits and some fae? "I like Nockers, perhaps we can bring her some booze?"
