The two of them make their way... and see some entrapped and entangled animals, badgers and hedgehogs, tiny Nevers as well.

This is interesting. Are there any corpses?

Chimerical vines chiefly, and that makes sense as they seem to be in the clearing of some great Elder wood. IT's really lovely...and they hear music

Moving on, they see the fellow that can only be Kathmur, a handsome enough Eshu, and by his side he has a blade. He seems... temporarily mesmerized

The Singing Stone is not large, heck, the Fae hounds back home are just as tall as it is. But it sings like a chorus, telling a story of a story crafter, Scheherazade herself.

The violin piece should not be put to words yet somehow it fits

The sword also glistens with magic.

Good, okay. Good story. But she has a mission to protect the Stone - to interpose herself between it and the eshu, bodily.

As she closes she feels the urge to sit and listen.

Symon is... unaffected. There must be a proxmity here, he's not as close as she

As The Gwydion closes, Kathmur snaps out of it, and raises his sword "HEy no, no, this is mine all the songs and stories... I was here first!"

Symon's eyes narrow. The Eshu cheated.

"No. It isn't to be destroyed, and it isn't for one person."

The song story goes on, of having to tell stories just to survive, hoping to show her worth, but the lesson appears lost on Kathmur

A poetic irony, there, as Scheherazade had to do the same.

"Really? I move faster than you" Kathmur says, bunks, and leaps towards the stone with a hopscotch, sword out stretched to break the prize so only he will want it!

Dagmar throws herself between the eshu, his sword, and the Stone - like a big blue wall.

Even as Symon will try to whip out his tongue, aiming to foul the Eshu's arm!

Symon knows he's not strong enough to yank a sword from a trained swordsman's grasp. But he can certainly foul his aim.

Symon foils the aim, which is good... for while Stonecutter is magical against stone, an unarmored troll can still be cut by it

The blade comes down, and it hurts the troll, as it cuts flesh, hits rib, then tears to the side. However, had the sword hit the stone, even after going THROUGH her, the treasure would have been lost

The giant's sacrifice play has saved the Song Stone

Symon gives a hiss that might have been a cry of dismay, had he the voice for it. He manages to restrain throwing himself bodily at the Eshu though.

She grunts, and now she has the chance to activate her gauntlet. It's a flesh wound - bloody, stinging, but she can shrug it off.

Armor bits spring to formation, clacking and clicking instantly... Kathmur says 'NO! " And draws his sword back before it is trapped by the same armor, more likely it wouldn't have, but better safe than swordless.

Symon has not let go of his arm, and yanks with all of his weight, trying to throw the eshu off balance.

Oh, "swordless" isn't off the table yet. The Gwydion's golden eyes shine with righteous anger. "I will offer you the chance to yield."

The Eshu is thrown off balance... further and stumbles. Appraises his situation and...

A gwydion faces him, a sluagh hangs off his sword arm., and likely, a snake is even now slithering towards his feet.

And there is a crack of a whip and...his other arm is struck. D.R. Jones says "And I'm still miffed about the Marlborolobos Pack!"

"I yield" Kathmur sighs. "I yield."

He drops the sword

Symon snakes out a foot and draws the sword away in his freakishly long toes, pulloing it out of reach even as he slurps his tongue back in.
