Scream? A look at Sy, and then Dagmar is running.

Symon lets her pull free of his hand, to give her that much more burst of speed! He follows, marveling as he can hustle without wheezing, but still keeping a cautious look around.

Dagmar is on the scene quickly. A piskie is being besieged by six wolf shaped chimera with white and tan fur markings that leak foul smoke from their read hot maws and heads that burn with embers. Every breath seems to cause them to emit more choking smoke and get hotter still. They shouldn't be on the trod as they're not safe. Dagmar has spent enough time with Olgar to know that means someone put them here deliberately.

She wonders - and it's worth a shot, really - if she can use her momentum to take a big field-hockey swing at the first wolf with Flyswatter, intent on sending it flying OFF the silver.

She could try!

Symon looks to see if there is any place he can climb to? Perhaps a ledge or a tree that is in a safe area?

There's an overhanging tree that has one root on the trod. Should count

He starts up the tree, looking for a branch where he can perch out of (hopefully) reach of the wolves.

The wolf looking thing takes Flyswatter's 'sweep' and flies off the silver, as it does, it howls "This is your world. This is your Winston. Taste it all."

Another turns to bite at Dagmar

but it's burning smokey jaws miss

She's going to use speed to her advantage - a firm kick to the one who missed, again looking to get it OFF the silver.

Symon dangles like a grotesque monkey from the branch. "Psssssst!" He wiggles his bare toes at the wolves.

She boots another off, and her raw strength carries it over as it yelps, "Come to Marlboro country!"

Symon's taunting has another of the creatures race towards his feet and make a snap for it

He yanks himself back up, hopefully avoiding a bite - but also, distracting the wolves from savaging the piskey at the same time.

The next strike is Flyswatter again, carving an razor-sharp arc.

It works...

A fae down on the ground could get his throat ripped out. Avoiding that is worth a bitten foot. Probably?

As Dagmar turns to take out another, the nest creature BREATHES on her ... smoke that reminds her of unpleasant fosterhomes

Symon touches his neck, looking for Qetz - is the snake still looped there?

YUP.

The wolf shaped THING Symon teased now breathes smoke up at him, but there is more range... and that dilutes this filthy air

He unwinds the snake and gently lobs him towards the exhaling wolf that was targetting DAGMAR. "Strangle." He whispers to the chimera before releasing.

(Stamina roll for Symon, but dif 5)

The formerly asthmatic sluagh holds hsi breath EASILY

Qetz lands about the neck of the creature that was breathing on Dagmar, cutting the smoke off! This allows Dagmar plenty of time to just...carve another in half. As it dies, it calls out "I'd walk a mile for a Camel"

The one Qetz strangles can't say anything, but the snake does get lightly burned

It does eventually snuff and...

wait, did they just defeat them all? They did

Symon drops to the path and hurries over to check on Qetz. Whispering to him of how he is a good snake and a pretty snake, appropriate such platitudes even as he checks his condition.

Her breathing slowly calms as she looks around, checking for any additional threats.

Qetz is lightly singed.

But is soothed by the praise

The piskie says "oh thank you both, that horrid eshu"

"Kathmur." Symon hisses.

She offers the piskie a hand up. "So we need to keep moving before he gets there."

"I think he already is..." The piskie says "I was after the stone too. IT belongs at a hold that appreciates it , where it can be protected and WHOLE. " Only now do they notice the Fedora

Is the fedora... significant?

"Dagmar ap Gwydion, and this is my Oathmate. You in to help us?"

"Sure..." The piskie tips her hat, for she is a sidhe, not a sidhe, which you can see. She has a hat, like indy. The rhymes the flow, oh golly gee. "I'm D. R. Jones." Verbally it is clear D . R. are initials, but it must be fun in writing.

"Gwydions eh? They protect the Dreaming and it's treasures. Sounds doable. Thanks again for the Save. We have to move fast though"

A firm nod, and she's moving!
