Symon's ears have recovered from the Awooo

Indeed, he rubs at an ear and tries not to give the pooka a baleful look.

"Time for us to go I think" Majestix says "Pudge and I will help guide the group, Gutter will eat any threat ,and so on. Otho, are you coming?"

Otho looks over at Symon and Dagmar , moves closer to them and taalks in a quieter voice for a private admission "You guys got me out of there, even if you did drop a brick on me, and you had the furkin spine to down when I wouldn't. Do you need any further help from me, or want it?"

Symon shakes his head, a hand resting against Dagmar's arm. "Help them if they need it. We have each other."

"Here then" He hands something over to dagmar "Suction Cups in case you need to keeup with him on a climb, and this..." He returns the air plane to them ,the paper one. "Oh, lastly... there is decoy" He hands over a ball with a button in it "Send this out, and it walks 'heavy, sets off trap doors, makes walking nose to lure ambushes, and even goes 'Heya' every few minutes. It's meant to die horribly so you don't have to. So basically its with you until it isn't. Press it again if you want to shut it down"

"That's... thanks, Otho."

"YEah yeah... let's not get all maudlin about life or death situations where friendships might or might not form" He waves it off "Don't die. It would be stupid." He turns to the others "Course I'm coming with you, you morons will need a brain along" And he joins them

A wave at the group. Dag finds herself smiling.

Symon as well - maybe to see them go, but still, a upward lip twist.

They do go, heading the path that the heroes came in on, some at least will likely bum around at RIvervale for a few days. Others may risk firnost. But they're free, and that's what matters

Dagmar has a bit of spring in her step as they go forward.

For a side quest, that felt good, but then, Right of Rescue often does, at least for Dagmar (And possibly Symon too but let's not be rude and presume), they head back to the forest, and continue on their way to the Glenn. They've faced rivals, they've dealt with a River Serpent, and yes, an angry daughter of Eve who masked her evil even from herself

"Do you think the Baroness Coradel would care to know of her old host's fate?" Symon whispers to Dagmar.

"Not sure. It's not her fault. If anything, I dunno, seems we're better off with her in the world than the soul she kicked out."

"Well. Odds are we won't remember anyways."

He shrugs easily, and "Onward?"

"True that. But I hope I remember enough, y'know?" A nod. "Onwards."

Onwards they go, the forest resumes, and it looks less warped but still dangerous

They see trees that beckon to them with rich fruit for Dagmar, and some spoiled on the limb for Symon. THey've had enough of Aphrosisia type magics though, and after that they faced, it has no pull . It as if their side quest strengthened them for a threat on the main one. As a DM Symon might be familiar with this.

They notice one tree has been hewed by an axe, and written into the wood are words. Both can make out I Will Not trick Olgar and others into trying to eat me. over and over again like a student having at a chalkboard

Dagmar snort-laughs and points it out to Symon.

Symon grins as well. "He makes a good Storm. A placeholder, but a good one."

"I suspect it's not punching." A wry expression.
