The Sidhe prosecuter steps out "Your honor , somethings are not to be denied. All over Concordia, those in the throes of the Dreamdance were seized, taken against their will, not to safety, but to be milked like batteries ... all to serve the whnims of ONE nocker. Nervousa bloomed, newly returned dreams and the rest of us too, all put in grave danger. We will show that she did this, and used her FULL genius in the endeavor"

August makes notes.

August waits, patient.

The pooka prosecutor sits up then looks at the jury and duke "If the carriages did abduct, you must lock her up!" Then she sits down as well

"And now the Defense" The Duke says unsure what to make of the pooka

August rises. "Your Grace, my client and I thank you for your time today, and the opportunity to put our case forward. The esteemed opposition is partially correct." he consults his notes as he lists the points off.
"All over Concordia, those in the throes of their Dream Dance were seized, taken against their will not to safety but to serve another's purpose. Who that other is has not been determined; and I believe I can prove that, with your permission. All of us -have- been put in grave danger... and the true culprit must be found." he sits.

This surprises many, confusion flows through out the benches.

The judge /duke inquires "Baron, am I to understand you intend to plead 'not guilty' on your Client's behalf?"

August stands. "My client and I have not had a chance to discuss her plea, Your Grace. I would to move for a dismissal of the case based on the evidence Miss Softplum can testify to. Miss Softplum is the expert you arranged for, skilled in Kenning."

"Indeed, a third party evaluator , let that be on the record" he tells the scribe near him

The scribe writes it down

"Will you hear her testimony now, Your Grace?"

"Your honor, don't we get to blab and make accusastions?" The pooka laments

"Will this save time, Baron?" The Judge/Duke says with a 'wait' gesture to the prosecuting pooka

"It will, Your Grace. If what you hear exonerates my client, or mitigates her case or her sentence, we can move forward."
