"Hello, Darespark." August greets her when he arrives "How are you feeling?"

"Nervous... furking nervous" She admits

"I don't think that's uncommon... or unwarranted. These are grave charges; you have done real and lasting damage to our world. That is not in keeping with your Kith's purpose, not in keeping with the nature of your Fae soul." August says bluntly but not unkindly "I have a plan to try and mitigate the circumstances, if you will allow me?"

"My Bannerhouse isn't happy about it either" she grouses "Go ahead, shoot"

"I have asked the Duke to request a third-party skilled in Kenning, at the least, to join us and ... well, examine you. The goal is to determine if you are under an undue influence. If you are, it might mitigate what you ahve done, and your sentence."

"Influence? What? I'm just in love.."

A Thane enters in "Pardon, Baron. The third party is here if you're willilng to let them see the prisoner?"

"Will you allow this?" he asks Darespark.

"I yeah sure?"

He nods to the Thane. "Thank you."

The thane bows, and then... shortly after, a figure walks in, a boggan lady who looks like a grandmother "Hello, Baron? I'm Emelda Softplum. I'm an evaluator?"

August offers her a small bow. "August Truthbranch." he introduces himself "And this is Goodfae Darespark."

"Hello Ms. Darespark, I am not here to judge your actions, merely judge your current state" The boggan says with a kind tone "I have talents for kenning above the norm" She sounds British

"I'm not sick, I'm just in love" Darespark snorts

"May I take notes?" he asks both.

"Fine by me, in fact I appreciate you taking records" Mrs Softplum says "Ms Darespark?"

"Uh sure, whatever you got"

The boggan moves over to the nocker and gives her a quiet look over

August stands quietly aside and takes notes.

"May I cast an omen on you, dear?" The evaluator asks the nocker

"Whatever" She snorts

The boggan prepares a cup of tea, but does not offer it to the nocker, rather swirling the leaves left after her drink

She motions August over

August approaches.

Softplum shares the glamour and he sees the symbol of the leaves... a rusty cage, Covered in heart stickers... and the Nocker's image lays with her foot caught in the cage though she tried to get out... heart stickers all over her.

August looks... a puzzled expression creases his face. He looks to Softplum for an explaination.

"Someone caged her heart, and she's not free yet. Further more the heart is artifiical... and the trap rusty and dangerous" The boggan whispers

August is writing down what he saw, and her interpretation. "Are you prepared to tell the Duke what you have seen, and what you understand it to mean?"

"Oh I'm not done yet..." She assures, "But yes"

"Ah." he nods and steps back "Please, continue."

"Wait," Darespark snarls "What do you mean Atificial? My love is real, REAL" And she tries to shove past , while still cuffed, knocking the boggan and her tea over

August tries to intervene, put himself in her path, but misses. He restrains the nocker after the fact.

"I'm okay, I'm okay" The boggan says as the Thane coems forward "The baron has her. She's not in her right mind"

"Please, compose yourself." he tells the nocker.

Dursta Darespark screams "She's trying to blame my love! I'm trying to FREE her! Let me go, let me go!"

The boggan sighs and gestures "Frozen tears, frozen fears"

And the boggan nearly gets a kick in the teeth "Oh drat, winter to calm ehr down didn't work"

August is a scholar, but he regularly works out and practices his martial arts. He lifts Darespark bodily and carries her away from the boggan. "Please, Mistress Softplum, continue."

"I'll try again " She gestures "Cool it down, Cool it down"

Nope. The boggan gets cursed out!

August works to get the nocker into a lock-grip that will allow him a safe hold on her. "Please, Darespark, you said you would allow this! Remember the Duke said if I help you ease your sentence, it might help Baroness Rathbone in turn!!"

"She's trying to blame my love" almost foaming

BIC: The nocker goes near rabid and the thanes put her back in her cage and have to gag her.

"And only three hours before the case"

August regretfully releases Darespark to the Thanes and goes to check on Softplum "Are you alright?"

"Oh feeling like a fool... I haven't had that cantrip fail twice in a row in a while"
