"BUT."

"Hotel."

Pans of eggs, sausage, taters, bacon!

Toasts and pastries, jams and meats and jellies and spreads!

And a sweet-n-savory WAFFLE BAR!

"Oh my, not bad, not bad at all"

"Okay, not drek."

Art blinks. "Whoa."

"I do not know where to start!"

"On the left, and work right?"

He looks at the jams, "I haven't even heard of some of these fruits!"

Art swallows, and starts carefully loading up a plate.

Citrine looks like she might take a nosedive into the syrup vat!

"I'm not cleaning that gunk out of your gears, idjit."

Thistle prefers sweet, it seems - not entirely unlike Citrine in that regard. Fruit, waffles, bacon...

"mom would give a moderate thembs up" Gwen gets some waffles too but mixes a bit of savory with the sweet. Her time with Marigold has made her something of an appreciater of balance

Gwen tries not to wolf her food down but she does got at faster pace than normal

She smiles briefly at the sweets-sprite.

Art's eyes might have been bigger than his stomach - he takes tiny portions, but he takes a bit of everything!

"See the difference? Hotel waffles rock."

A giggle from the sprite, and she twitches her nose - and sprinkles appear on Thistle's waffles, atop the whipped cream!

Citrine had been giving her a sus side-eye, but becomes enamored at that point!

"Mm. Guess these were needed. Thank you."

"So..." Gwen asks "After this, we head home right?"

A giggle, and she vanishes behind the orange juice pitcher!

Art pauses, a forkful of eggs halfway to his mouth, and sets the utensil back down. "Unless you had other business to take care of, Thistle?"

"I wanted to do the museums, and the Library, and all that... but.. but we can come back right?"

"We need to get you home."

"I don't imagine the city will go anywhere." He says with a small smile.

"Mom thinks I'm at art camp."

A guilty look "I'm sorry guys, I AM glad I came even if it hit us all by surprise. I wouldn't trade some of it for the world, but yeah, if I had a pair of ruby slippers right now i'd be banging away non stop right now"

"So, how did we want to travel? The quickest way might be a cab to River Vale to take the trod. Assuming that the Trod doesn't delay us. Else, a 6 hour drive or so, but that will be hard to convince a ride for - few drivers will want to go that far, as they are unlikely to find a fare back."

"Yeah, we come back for library and museums. Bring Fornax!"

Art smiles at the mention of the small dragon.

"Oh fornax will love that" She says

"I want to take a trod!" A bright gleam in her eyes. "We are good to do that now!"

"Trod it is then" A nod

"Shall I ring for Miss Ada's cab?" He takes a bit of eggs and bacon, innocently glancing to Gwen.

Then she looks around to make sure no mortals are listening in

They're at the tail end of breakfast, and few others around.

then a wince at Miss Ada's cab "Let's get our luggage and... we need to remember to keep our convos quiet.""

"Ada might just show up."

She finishes her meal and puts stuff away "I'll get our luggage, and.. maybe a blindfold for the ride"

"Right! Let's go!"

And Gwen gathers things up, most likely carrying the most stuff for her friends but she doesn't mind

Art has little baggage, so he is glad to carry his own and some of Thistle's haul. The 10lb lump of clay was interesting to get through airport security, but important.

Gwen, of course, has her 10lb sack of coffee, which got her checked out by airport security. The hardest part was NOT petting the dogs who sniffed her over before letting her through.

They were good boys, yes they were.

They had their duty, and so booping and snuggly face had to wait
