"Renwick" Vali says as he gets in last

"Good choice. Should charge hazard pay with you both in here." She comments, as she flicks off the light to show the cab is rented, and pulls into traffic, neatly cutting off another car that lays on the horn. "HEY, I'm DRIVIN' HERE!" She shouts out the window.

A grin back at her riders. "My rides always look disappointed if I don't go full New Yahk on them at least once."

Vali chuckles "I'm from Jersey, you might lose your tip."

"Now she's gonna charge us extra"

A flash of a grin as she leans on the gas to run through at a yellow light.

Only to slam on the breaks and narrowly pull around another car that was backing out blindly. "Buckle UP!"

Art leans up to whisper to Vali, "Do you see us getting to the hotel in one piece?"

"I think I still make my date with my wife next friday ... no promisesfor you though" Vali assures

"Oh geezus lady there are speedlimits" Gwen is white nuckled

then again Gwen 'drives like a granny ' Gladiola isnt fond ofhigh speed chase scenes

"Aw, this baby can take it!"

"You know, if you overclocked the pistons, bet you could improve your acceleration when trying to beat a yellow..."

"Get a nice BURST right through the intersection.."

"Thatta girl!" The Eshu laughs! And points out landmarks as they pass them!

"I think the damned plane moved slower" Gwen gasps "Great, the empire state building at warp 9, lovely"

Vali hums calmly

As they pull up at a light outside the Library, there is a mighty ROAR! A lady who is walking past on the sidewalk loses her hat in a sudden breeze out of no where.

"Well, I'll be. Patience and Fortitude say hello."

"I have a Checker, too. Helluva machine."

Vali smiles at the Lions "Hey guys, good to see you again"

"*&^%^&&, and we're here without Fornax. Next time."

The two massive lions haven't moved from their spots, but when Thistle leans to look out the window, One of them seems to wink at her.

They turn down another street, and splashes of chimerical water splatter on the windshield like a fountain. "The grotesques of the Woolworth building too, huh? I didn't know I'd get a free car wash."

The chimera of New York City have noticed Thistle!

"Damn, the city is cooler as a changeling."

Hey, that one looks like a dog!

"Huh, that's not grotesque at all" Gwen says at the dog one

"That one with the twisted wings reminds me of Fornax." He tells Vali about the little bookwyrm.

Vali listens and nods "Poor little guy,sounds like a survivor though"

Art asks their driver, "Are there actually Alligators in the sewers?"

"Or pizza-eating turtles!"

"Of course. Who else would keep the Vampires out of there?" Driver nods.

"I wish she were kidding" Vali nods

All too soon, the cab pulls up in front of the Renwick. She offers a card back to whoever might grab it. "You need another ride, ask for Ada."

"Ada. Check!"

Gwen mutters something about a SANER Cabbie next time but doesn't stop Thistle from taking the card

Vali steps out and opens the doors for the others

Art lets the ladies out first, then slides out. "That was a fantastic tour. Thank you, Ada."

He starts to offer payment, but she waves them off. "Oh, no, you can just get me next time. I can see you'll be far more interesting than the normal rides." And speeds off before anyone can argue.

"Huh. Do we owe her now? Is that a debt we have to repay?" Uncertain, the poor seelie boy raised by the evil dark fae.

"She's an Eshu, they sometimes know a good story when they see it" Vali suggests "You'll meet her again if she wants to. Maybe if she dosn't"

"Eshu are interesting. Don't know if +we+ are, but hey."

Art has noticed the rate board posted by the entry desk, and he makes a choked sound. "Is that... accurate?"

"Sorry Art, yes, yes it is" Gwen says and kens about

"Oh, hey..." Distracted by a sculpture.

Oh, it is fantastic. Simple, yet refined... a historic building that used to house artist's studios (as one of many plaques declares), and it retains a good deal of charm and glamour, even in the midst of a big city. The design is artsy yet upscale, trendy yet artistic, an eclectic vibe.

Vali smiles "Always wanted to visit here"

"This place ain't drek."
