"You better hold on." She advises, before activating the treasure - great feathered wings spring forth from the saddle!

They nod at this then gasp as wings grow

"Time to fly, girl!"

(And Dagmar knows how Star just hates flying. 😉 )

Star streaks in the air "I am not a leaf on the wind, I am the wind"

Dagmar hopes that by flight, they may catch up! Star can cut straight through the air, bypassing some of the river's meandering loops.

"I am Dagmar Hammerstrike, and my friend is Symon."

He raises a hand in greeting.

At the mare's huff, she pats her neck. "And this lovely lady is Star, lest I forget."

"Well, I am Ufnor. Son of Unnor" A look at her "And I fear if I stop rowing I shall be robbed by Svarts"

"I won't allow that to happen."

"She left them all in pieces, her and the other warriors. Their wiz... sorc... magic worker is slain as well."

And the boat finally moves to the bank "You best be right"

She dismisses the wings and dismounts to greet the Ufnor, hand extended.

Ufnor takes her hand cautiously

She nods. "Yeah. I don't like killing something for no purpose."

"We're lucky in that with Dame Hammerstrike being so morally obligated to help people out, they often give us a purpose."

A smirk.

"Hey, they were bad guys! The horn blew three times!"

"Yes, every boy and girl farmhand to jarl's child knows what three horn blows mean. We'll eat of the boar if that's what happens"

"What does a boar have to do with the map?"

"It may show your worth" he heads back to the boat

He whispers to Dagmar. "Are you a jarl's child here, O daughter of King?" Grinning.
