Loyla nods "I sure do..." A gesture "That's off the coast of White Sands.. florida"

"The Final Boss is 'Florida Man'." He groans, half-joking.

"I mean, I've never been to Florida. Bet it'll be cool. Palm trees and stuff."

"Depends on where you go," Loyla says "As a rule, the further south you go, the more north you get" A grin "then you hit cuba 2.0"

Miss Zolanda (I think that was the boggans name) fusses at Loyla "You mighty cheeky for someone supposed to be at the counter"

"oops" the satyr says

"S'okay. We're not Floridians."

He nods. "That's helpful. Thanks."

Tapping a message to Vali, he texts, phone set where Dagmar can see as well. "Heading back to homebase to check in. Want to meet us there or leave the next step on the mantle?"

TXT: See you at RV then

Tilting the phone to Dagmar. "Sound good?"

"It does!" She sneaks a beignet from the to-go bag.

"I'm going to put one of those under the kitchen sink and check back in a week." Envious, even fresh it looks somewhat appealing, just seeing how Dagmar enjoys it.

"Smart. Miss Zolanda, would it be rude to ask for a recipe?"

"Not rude, honey, but I'm afraid i don't give my beignet recipe up lightly. See that way folks have to visit me for more" A smile "Oh.. " A thought "I will give Symon there some of the coffee fixings and instructions since he likes that. "

Siiigh. "Okay. Worth asking!"

"And I'm flattered you did." She says

He gives her a closed mouth - sluagh polite! Smile. "Appreciate that, some folk at River Vale might like it too. Not with proper cream, but no one's perfect."

A deep and throaty chuckle

"Rivervale likes coffee." She nods.

"I... don't really like it black.." She admits, like a fault. Symon would know she takes both cream and sugar.

"I don't know your people," The freeholder says to her "But I bet,they don't think any less of you just because you like something different. They might tease. They might raise an eyebrow. I don't know, but it's the coffee they judging. Not you.. they already love you. So don't you worry about that. You hear?"

"Miss Loyla, can you make one to go? With lots of sweet and milk." A chin jut towards Dagmar.

"I sure can" And she prepares one just so

Purple, but she smiles. "Thanks."

"She understands being judged. She has a cat." And he strokes Lovecraft. "Not the best cat, but a pretty good one."

Snerk.

"Odin would disagree. Every cat thinks he is Best Cat."

"Well, you tell a cat no one's perfect and they look at you like you clearly haven't noticed them yet" Miss Zolanda grins

Another snerk.

Loyla says "And it's just loyla" Handing over the coffee.

"Thank you!"

Lovecraft rubs Symon's leg in an effort to trip him to his death.. or maybe show affection, then goes to the door

"You're welcome!"

"Yes, you take care now you hear?"

Thanks nodded, he heads out. "Tell the local slugs to keep in touch."

"Sure thing. Maybe we'll be able to make it down when not on a mission, and see all the tourist stuff."

Nods and out they go

No doubt, word will go out that Symon the Denier wants the local sluagh to stay in touch.

Before they go back through that Grafitti trod - "Record store. I remembered. Get Yule for your ma all sewed up."

Big nod!

"So - like, are you Symon the Denier because you try to be low key about doing cool stuff?"

And so heroes leave a pathetic little hold that's in danger of snuffing out any moment. The music sending them off will scatter to places where they'll be overlooked and glared at. the recipes might be copied but never duplicated. Bad things will happen to the good folk there. But the name of the place is sweet sorrows, and as the bard says, that's most in leavings and good byes.

He turns a mottled purple blush. "Don't let anyone at home hear that name." Ducking in embarassment.

"I thought it sounded cool."

He glances back behind then as they turn the corner. "I didn't want to say where they could hear... but I didn't want to suck any more juice. That flame is barely lit."

"But I won't. I'm trying to do better."

She nods. "Yeah. I think we get spoiled by the Lodge."

He gives her a small smile. "I mean, it's not the WORST thing I could be called."

"It doesn't sound outright heroic. It could even be villainous if it had the right bent." He muses.
