Carola is driven around. He gestures "Well, that's not our favorite place, but I Had fun sneaking in there once and surprising you. " He gestures to a sign Autumncrest Academy for young Women

She catches the word 'Autumn' and gives that building a side-eye.

It does stir memories... all young women for students, only a few male teachers and janitors. The name does make her feel dubious. She remembers talking to some girls though, friends of her body's former occupant? Oh yes, names come to her. She also remembers some she didn't care for... or didn't associate with.

A memory does spark of Robert surprising Carola in the hedges, at the time it felt the height of naughtiness, of the forbidden.

"Oh, yes! You hid in the leaves and pounced!"

"Yeah, and you shrieked so cutely" They keep driving and he gestures at a theatre, "AH, Crosstown Theatre, pricier than others, but no homeless slipping in there for AC" Ah yes, much smooching in the dark there. The memory of a scent, one this body has tried but she has not... Buttered Popcorn?

The memory is decadent, unhealthy, and above all tasty. Old Carola only ate one handful and insited she stop to keep 'in shape'. Oh dear lord, has she possessed the body of a salad eater?

Not that a salad is bad always. One can chase a carrot bit with a fork as if the fork were your claws

Speaking of resturants, they go by her favorite, or what her old self claimed was her favorite

Lot of pretentious sorts eat there

She is curious about that, her stomach rumbles after all. Leaning over Robert in a way that may distract him from driving, she points out the window. "There! That place. You will take me there now."

"Ah, we're not wearing our best clothes" He points out "They might decline service" But he does pull over

And she hops out of the car

It is early, and the restuarant is not at a big crowd capacity

She pouts a bit. "Let's see."

They enter in, and the hostess smiles prettily "I'm sorry, ties are required"

Ties? She remembers... hmmm. Pulling Robert aside, she unlaces one of his shoes. "Shush..." She says if he asks, and soon, they each have a shoelace dangled about each neck, pinned together with a barrette as her hair flops free.

"Food guardian, take heed. We are in possession of 'Bolo Ties'."

"Riiigiht" the hostess says with a soft nod, then it turns to a head shake 'Please leave before I have to call to have you escorted out. '

"Oh come on, we've eaten here before" robert protests

If only she could see Carola's tail lashing! "Perhaps they have nothing suitable for a Verbeck, after all. In fact, I do not WANT to eat here now. I'd rather go a dozen lifespans more, unfed, then deign to set foot within."

""Uh huh, please, don't leave angry, just.. go" the hostess says, possibly risking an enemy for life

Foxes aren't the only ones who know of sour grapes.

"Come, Robert, let us dine elsewhere. May a thousand plagues fall upon this inn, may the bread be rotted from the inside by weevils, may their floors run with vermin even a cat would not chase..." She fumes as they walk out.

robert nods and walks along with her "Sure, babe. you trying out for a play or something?"

"Perhaps, would you come watch me if I did?" Then, "Popcorn!" She remembers. "We will have the popcorn."

"Well prob a pass, I'm not into that thee and thou stuff" he says

"Oh sure, the movies " And they head back there.

She considers that for a moment. Is she offended? Well, he HAS obediently driver her hither and yon today, she will give him a pass. Not ALL are as learned and wise as she, but they may yet serve a purpose. "As long as you admire none other while in my presence." She allows.

"Hah, that would really stupid of me" Apparently he gets the basics. Good.

The theatre does not require ties, and there is a Matinee session going on. Such movies as the Amazing Doctor Man and the Multiverse with no home. Or Jurasic Gun 2; One FIghter jet, one pilot... so many dinosaurs

At least those are the ones robert wants to see. There are others

Including one by some small indie film maker that barely gets any poster space at all a nd is only in one of the theatre screens

"Oh, the one with the dragons, please!"

Unless the Indie film is particularly compelling?

Soon they're watching Jurasic Gun 2.

And she tries buttered popccorn, it cannot be as greasily good as her host memories tell her it is can they? they..

Hopefully Robert is not offput by her habit of eating popcorn, licking her fingers 'clean', then taking another handful.

He must not like the movie that much, because he kees looking at her sucking on her fingers instead. Odd boy

The movie itself is entertaining fluff, though a bit of a cheat. Calora knows the dragons.. pardon, dinosaurs, would have won if more of them flow and they all just breathed fire and/or poison vapor

After the movie, she takes her bag back to the concession stand for a refill. This is a delight!

"sure you don't want some real food? we can slum it at a mcDs" he says

"No, I want popcorn." Lick, lick, lick. Why would she EVER resist such a delicious treat? 'Carola' was a fool, the pooka decides.

"It can be kind of fattening" He warns. Mmm Butterball MIGHt be a life lesson for her, but then SHE moves, Butterball doesn't much

"It is a proud thing, to be fat. It shows wealth, that one can afford fine foods and indolence." She considers.

"Calora? You've been acting werid" they do get her more popcorn "Just odd you know? You okay?"
