Firnost, that wretched lair of scum and villainy

Brenda Thomas was told to wear another form, at least when passing through. So , for practice, she is shapeshifted to look like a cat pooka. Ah vanity, of course she's lovely, but then again, this is firnost, it's the plain women that stand out so maybe it works

And she waits for the boggan

And he appears, coming through the front door of the warehouse as it transforms into the B&B style facility it -truely- is.

He pauses to pat the cold off his clothes, and spies her.

She sees him and , cat suit or not, he can tell it's her, by the fact she has a V formation in her fingering as she holds a glass. And that she looks at him with felineoid eyes

He smiles slyly and mosies over. "Good morning."

A purring voice, oh she's doing a fair Eartha kitt impression, "if it isn't an old friend from one of my earlier 9 lives. How are you, Scott?"

Well, she's sounding like a pooka. Fun

"Oh, looking forward to this, very much. Shall we adjourn?"

"As the doe said to the big bad wolf- I'm game"

He offers his arm; where she takes them is up to her. The garden? Upstairs? The Streets?

They go to the gardens, and she asks once they're in the open, "Any mice listening in?"

Emerson is nothing if not perceptive, and while a very skilled sluagh could get past him, it's too bright out here for them to be comfortable. The sun blazing even in the autumn.

He thinks they are alone

He looks around causally but with a care born from years of survival.

"I think not." he says "Care, nonetheless." He motions to the remains of a rude campsite, or at least a fire.

"I trust you and yours are well?"

They move there, "Yes save for one I cannot know about. " A nod "My daughter vanishes for long periods of time, but I'm learning that's normal for her kith. I still make sure cold mush and tea are ready. "

"I am sure she appreciates it, and expresses it in her own way."

"She does. " A fond look

"It occurs to me that although we have worked together, we don't know each other -very- well. And you... you have unique insights as to our Fae state. Not to mention, powers and Arts which must have been a revelation to come into. Will you sit?" he indicates one of the stone benches.

She does, "me? I'm merely a dabbler compared to some, and that mostly in..well.." She gestures to her shapeshifted form

He nods. "CC's tutoring only enhanced a natural talent." he smiles.

"Oh she wasn't my only mentor in it but yes," A chuckle "SOme folks who study this you'd never think they were the type"

"Oh, you never know....." he murmurs.

"I imagine Kyle has discovered his own, pardon the phrase, strengths?"

"He has" She says, "Natch" A smile

"You know, I've been interested in learning more about these Seasonal Arts." he muses "I don't have them myself but since the Dreaming sent them into this world I have to think there is a reason and a benefit. To someone."

"Ah, that's why you wanted me." She nods

"Am I so transparent?" sheepishly.

"I figured anything I can do for you, CC could do better. " She admits

"Ahem." he coughs, coloring slightly "I have never met her match, it is true..... but neither of us was blessed with these new Arts. Could you give me any insight?"

"Gladly, the Debukes love Spring, but others at Rivervale practice it too. It does amazing things, mostly about growth or fertility, renewal. Slower than Heatherbalm for healing but often powerful as, just subtle. at the Vale, Sylvi would be the mistress there. Mmm ...Winter has two forms, Ice and damage from cold, or a more insidious deadening of passions, or even placing things in status. Sir Vali masters both, but young Dagmar is getting better bringing on ice herself"

"It sounds as though Rivervale is the powerhouse, then."

"Swaggering bullies at times" A sigh "But they mean well. Of course, Sylvi learned spring from the DeBukes. Now Autumn? I suspect the Symon boy knows it... it has shadow and entropy, finding the flaws, aiding decay, other tricks. Then there's Summer.. warmth, light, passion. "

"Rivervale again, then." he murmurs.

"Oh, now Earth Runes 's healer knows some Spring too. Emma's sweet"

"And ironically, Dame Claire studies a bit of Summer. Seelie Ailil are still Ailil and naturally flaunt. "

"Have I been of help so far?" She asks

"Oh, certainly." he smiles jovially "And of course, the pleasure of your company is always welcome."

"CC's right, you are a flatterer" she says "Kyle knows Autumn too. He doesn't tell others. If you think it can help, I'll talk to him... you'll owe him a favor"

"Oh, I'm only seeking familiarity. There's all this talk of new Arts and tapping into some primal ... not Primal, you understand, but essential power of the Dreaming with these new Kiths and Arts and all. Of course, -some- curiosity is understandable."

"I imagine all these new Arts, for however much they are powerful, have limits."

A look "but it's more than curiosity," She says reading into his mask for a moment "no, there's reason more...important than that for your wanting to know"

He twinkles at her, closing on his bluff. "Why would you say that?"

"I've learned that a part of me lives to please... " wryly "One man's pleasure is another one's pestering. Reading into people has been a skill. Besides, I've been a teacher. I got lied to all the time."

"And, you lied professionally." he points out fairly.

She puts her hands to her chest, delicately "Oh I'm sorry, did you confuse me for a woman who is troubled by her hypocrisy? " then "Now, why are you really trying to learn about these things?"
