The darkness curls around her, tenderly.

"They mean well.. they just don't understand..." But she reaches to the darkness, as if she could craddle it

"Others will. Your sisters and brothers in the shdows. We know you, we welcome you."

Prue tugs at the darkness, and finds purchase! She grabs at it, and pulls...

and it spills into cob web threads

then drapes over her and steps into the shadows and.....

the dream dance does not explode so much as seep into everywhere... the tree nearby that she hide behind grows darkly sinister looking, as if it might catch or snag...

any fool who passes too close!

webs spread across nearby houses, connecting them, and chimerical spiders by the hundreds scatter about

Not everything needs to be loud to be powerful.

The spiders start to lower down, the threads plucking softly like gentle violin or guitar strings...

"And thus, foundst thou, thyself!"

Her skin turns magnificently pale, as if renouncing that wretched sun's pestering....

She twists, and turns, and ... well, llaughter sounds different from sluagh, a chuff for some, a wheeze for others, a gasp "Why didn't I see this before?"

"You were asleep." Says the white-haired wraith.

"Yes," the hooded girl says, "I was..." And Octa may see she has company. A new chimerical spider crawling near the girl's ear, about the size of a quarter.

Spiderly greetings.

1122 tries to look charming and handsome.

For a spider.

"Forgive me, Octa, this is Muffet, an.. old friend I forgot about .. until now I THINK? " SHe looks baffled "It's all rather wonderously confusing" SHe moves to Zara "So you're the shadow sister, the teacher who sent Octa?"

Zara splays a hand on her chest and bows.

"Hello, I'm..." The girl grins "Catatonia" and returns the bow

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Catatonia. I am Zara Manynames."

"Miss Manynames, this feels, quite right, as it should be... but I am confused still. " She turns her head "Ah, Muffet tells me I am a sluagh? That feels right... but what IS one?" A tilt "And who is your handsome friend she asks?" Catatonia inquires, only to get fussed at.

Muffet didn't want her to ask OUTLOUD.. scandal

"1122 is one of my oldest friends. Octa is one of thirteen sisters. Come, I will take you to a place with warmth and shadows where you may ask questions to your hearts delight."

It is clear this new fledge has the blessing of friend to spiders, she glances at 1122, and he stares back, they exchange.. images of life and expeirences. Zara MIGHT Envy her.

Catatonia nods "I am.. a bit frightened" she shivers "it's wonderful" the fledge follows her

The two make their way after a goodly walk, to Firnost... "I've been near here before it's.." But her eyes widen "Magic? How did i not see this before?"

"Like a moth, you were wrapped in a cocoon. You are newly-born. Firnost is... well."

"Come inside."

Muffet agrees it seems, and Catatonia nods, and goes inside... the glamour she radiates is subtle, but it is strong, the bale fire flares up... the gloves seem a bit shinier.. and the Jukebox plays , at a lower volume , a broadway song in greeting

"my word" Catonia blinks, "Oh, it's warm here" A look to the fire

"And that is a balefire - a font of pure glamour. The magic which fuels us." She looks about for Earl.

Earl is in the garden, painting. Looks like he found the old supplies

"This is a Freehold - a haven for our kind. Sit, I shall draw tea."

"I... a freehold? It's beautiful" Catatonia takes a seat "Oh, sweet ice tea?"

A blink.

"No."

"Sorry, that's the only way I've ever had tea" She admits a light blush

"You poor deprived thing. No wonder you were suffering in slumber!"

"Tea is as much a part of our souls as shadows."

A tilte of her hooded head "I confess, now I am curious. I'll try it however you prefer, of course"

"Tea is a refined beverage, of course - part of centuries of history and refinement. But Tea is also.. mm... a ceremony, a ritual, a way of being."

"It sounds vaguely... Chinese?" she guesses feeling very foolish "or Japanese?"
