Sylvi puts a hand on his shoulder. "Let her go, Bertand. I'll talk to her. But you didn't do anything wrong. Not one damn thing."

"Thanks, Sylvi..." A siggh "I feel like a slameal..." He murders the yiddish with his accent but she gets it "How is she ..alive?"

"I'm sorry. If I could have made sure that would go more smoothly, I would have."

A deep breath. "It's kind of weird, and...I keep sort of forgetting parts of it. It has to do with that tabard she's wearing. She's a knight, now."

"Wow..." he says stunned "A knight? but her kin will be all sorts of sore about that"

"Yeah. Yeah, I think that's part of why she's taking this pretty hard. They've outright rejected her, some of them. Like, shunning. And to find you've moved on...."

"I should probably go after her."

"Please do, annnd... if it breaks no trustt, let me know? And .. let me know if I can help"

"I will. Absolutely. And I'll try to get her to come talk to you again sometime. But...I figured you should know." Another apologetic shrug. "It's good to see you," she adds a bit awkwardly as she heads to the trods.

"Hey, good o see you too. Give my hellos to your ken"

"I will!" she promises as she vanishes into the trod. Yes, she could have clarified that she's not at Rivervale now...but it didn't seem to be the right time.
