She pines, looking at oither women who subconsciously remind her of the sidhe

Zara studies her from behind the shelter of an opened book, prodding at the magic lingering on her - the ought to be a way to soften it...

SOme aspects of soveriegn have been known to lead to infatuation lasting for years. Maybe if she had the librarian's true name, she could remind her of it, but that is in danger of crossing boundaries. Another option might chicanery, but that risks erasing the memories of the very Sidhe Zara hopes to learn more on.

Tricky choices.

Earl hangs nearby, just another reader as far as the library knows

Maybe best to leave it...

Perhaps, yet she was a witness to the sidhe's questioning and more. But there maybe other clues, things left behind. But that would require keen senses looking for nearly invisible signs.

Good thing she's a sluagh

That seems a possibility... who knows, perhaps the sidhe shed a hair...

She goes to "look for a book"

(Bronte, of course, has been set on Earl's shoulder - he might not be reading, but SHE is!)

Indeed, Bronte is the one who is actually selecting.

A new library!

It's not that zara can't pick out hairs or things left behind, finger prints on the wood, etc. The problem is, dozens of people have done so and it's hard to sort out who left what. A sidhe drops a hair ,the hair rarely has any glamour, it just turns mundane. So it's no diferent from human..

But she does stumble onto something a bit odd... a 'barbie' the sidhe was described as. So blonde hairs only....

1122 is also sent searching...

and if she limits blonde hairs, the occult section...

Zara finds some possible candidates there. But the 'odd thing'?

1122 spots another spider. A chimerical one, with the black and silver marks of House Eiluned, snooping the books.

It is clear, this other spider is on bookwatch, more focused on llibrams than people.

Her eyes narrow.

Who needs a hair?

The chimerical interloper is snagged in a hankerchief, quickly bundled into a prison via hair-tie.

It can fuss - but the tiny bindle should keep it from biting her.

Zara snags as it tries to scamper. She is no practiced warrior, but picking up small objects is something any seamstress learns quickly. She is..precise.

and then she feels the thing try to use a rede.

"Hello there. No."

Redes are not cantrips, but she IS a master of Fae... and may unweave as easily as she weaves.

Whether was warning, or a full link to allow her mistress to see through her eyes, the little spider finds her rede cut off!

the little spider fidgets and fusses, and, perhaps to Zara's surprise, taps out that she demands a blindfold and a cigarette! She fears neither gunfire nor squishing

Could it be the Eiluned have duplicated sluagh spider friends? Or is it just chance that the little lady knows morse?

"Neither. You shall not be harmed."

A likely story, she doubts, and warns that she will not be swayed by pretty words either

"As you wish." She goes to find Earl.

Earl is, perhaps, driving Bronte nuts. He's gotten interested in the story, but taking too long to read! Bronte wants the page turned 20 seconds ago!

Zara sees them both where she left them. Her troll has gotten distracted. Must be a good book

"We may check it out - but we must go, Love."

"Oh" Earl rises "No let's not check it out. Don't want names traced."

Bronte whimpers a bit "I pine, I perish..."

Protests from her waddy prison, the new spider taps out she has a right to one phone call

"Feh." She checks the title.

"Soon, little love."

Title memorized, they gather to go. Earl asks "Flickerflash or trod?"

"FIrnost."

A nod and they head towards Firnost. It is BLAZING with glamour, not just from Imbolic, but the victory of a certain Sports team has jazzed the local populace!

Of course, that sport is inferior to baseball, and that team will never be the METS but mortal dreamers are fickle

And the wash of glamour, of chaos, of crossroads and crowds... hard to pin down much of anything in isolation. That is why Firnost is the place to cast.

Indeed! Jukebox might be playing secret Agent man, dust bunnies cavort, and the trods go seemingly everywhere. SO much noise (metaphorically) that signal is easy to slip through.

Her beloved Wingback has gotten a light layer of lovely dust

A fondness, but she goes closer to the 'fire to scry.
