August wishes he could make some notes, put something down to remember.... but he has to be away. "Squire, this way....." And he off in the direction the.... creature.... indicated.

He wanders and... avoids a dangerous gang territory, hoping the pooka would do the same, but where..oh wait, hes' thinking yes, a cat tail.. where would a cat go? She might have changed. He finds the fence, and clambers over it.. and fidns the alley of trash cans

Hardly a rarity in this city.... He helps Tylar over.

August gestures for Tylar to search one area, he'll take the other.

Tylar grunts and kens "There? Not as strong as a dream dance should be.. but behind that dumpster"

"She encountered trouble." August goes looking.

THere's a shivering cat, young female....striped tabby.. and there is a splot of blood on her fur.

"Ohhh...." A whisper. "Hello. Don't be scared. Are you hurt? My name is August, I'd like to help you. I won't hurt you. Will you come with me, and my friend Tylar?"

Ears flatten then... ease as he gentles. Aujgust IS so pretty

She moves in arm reach

"There.... good. Shhh.... come with me, and we'll get you healed up and warm and fed. Ok?"

"row?" And she goes into his arms

A gentle smile, and he's SO pretty... "There. Good. I'll carry you, ok? Please don't scratch me." He tucks her into his chest, nice and warm. "Tylar? Let's get to Firnost....."

"Yes sir," And he helps with the fence, and they all make it. The Catpooka shivers but calms more and more, as if the glamour IN august was the only thing keeping her from freezing

Firnost is like a crazy uncle... you're not sure you want to b e around him, but you know where he lives

August makes his way there, hoping the crazy uncle is having a good day.

It woudl appear so.. though it is relatively empty.

She gazes at the fire with amazed eyes an whiskers quivering

August crouches and carefully allows her out of his arms. "Can I check to see if you are hurt?"

She's not hurt... but she's no where near as juiced as a new dream dance should.

"You can rest here if you like. Staying by the 'Fire, the Balefire here, will warm you and heal you. Or if you like, you can come with us to ... to my home. EarthRunes."

"She needs us nto to look to change back, Sir" Tylar reminds

"Yes, I know. But cats are very expressive in any form." He smiles at the tabby. "They usually have no trouble making their intent known. Now, miss, Tylar and I can go into the kitchen. Let us know when to come out." And he offers to hold the door for Tylar.

Tylar darts in

August follows.

He sets about making tea.

a moment later, a voice ways "Not that I care, but... hello?"

August gestures for Tylar to take over the tea-making, and steps into the main room from the kitchen. "Hello." He bows. "I am, ah, Baron August Truthbranch of bannerhouse Truthbranch."

"Felidae!" She beams, then looks confused, "That is not what i meant to yodel?"

"Felidae." August smiles. "This is Tylar, my squire. Let's have some tea, and I can answer questions for you?"

"Oh please, I know everything" then she adds, "But if your'e bored?" She looks utterly lost

Tylar nods "Nice to meet you, Filidae"

August brings them to sit by the 'Fire. "You're a Changeling; a Fae spirit in a mortal body. You're a pooka; you have an animal form, a beautiful tabby cat."

"But I'm allergic," She says then says "The other round one, the one with the medical degree, he said I was..." SHe swallows "Rabid"

The beautiful young man frowns. "Sick? A medical... was he wearing a white coat?"

Felidae has taken a seat, then fidgets, then works her tail to adjust, then says "He was like the DMV with the AC on full blast and you're right under it and the line never ever moves and you shiver and you shrink and you wonder why you're here"

"Cold." Softly. "That chill was what we call Banality. It can destroy you.

"Oh sure, but I've got eight other lives now" Nevertheless she shivers and nods at his words

"I didn't jinx him, that was the stone bat" She crosses her heart

August nods slowly. "I saw him. He was grateful for the spark of Glamour you brought to the artwork on the wall of the alley, and so he saved you."

"Oh, no no, " She says "The sunbeam warmed ME all toasty and suddenly I was on Broadway"

A gentle smile. "The Glamour, the ... magic... of the artwork inspired what we call a Dream Dance, I think. The moment your Fae soul awoke, and touched the Dreaming. Do you remember anything of being Fae, a pooka?"

"I...I felt like I had been a thousand songs, but the Doctor surgically removed the melody" Feilidae says

"If he was that cold, he had to be Dauntain, Sir. Could.. he really have hurt her memory of past lives?" Tylar asks

"It's.... possible? Hard to say, Tylar. Dauntain are shunned, needfully so, but in so doing we shut ourselves away from an understanding of them and how to face them."
