The Newcomb Brewery/Distellery says the sign. The place has seen better days

As they disembark the ride-share, William gives Caesar an eyebrow.

"I Know, I know... but appearances can be decieiving" He says and the driver lets them out. He'll wait here.

William follows Caesar.

They past a chain link fence gate that was open half way anyway and rusted, and Caesar calls out "Nelson? You here?"

Nelson is, or at least someone answers "Caesar, what's up?" A figure comes out . A boggan who is a bit on the slovenly slapdash side

William is not immediately impressed.

"Nelson Newcomb, I want you to meet Emerson Stodgepole. " Caesar says, "he's the guy I told you about who can sell just about anything, and has the best taste at food...or libations"

Nelson eyes the other boggan, a grump himself, he's gone bald save for a halo half tonsure "No offense, Caesar, but you know I odn't always get along with my own kith"

"Well, Nelson, you'll have to deal." Caesar says, then looks to Emerson "You have to try his product."

"Indeed?"

"It's.. good." He admits "you're fond of bourbon and whiskey right?"

"I enjoy a tipple every once in a while."

"Then let's take the tour. Nelson, if it helps.. he doesn't work for any noble, not that I know of" Caesar shrugs

Nelson looks surprised, then grunts "Fair enough. Follow" Clearly he's less charming than most boggans.

While the buildings look like a temp set for the Walking Dead on the outisde, the barrels and machines that actually are part of the process are kept in pristine condition. Samples are offered brusquely

Emerson pauses, watching the other boggan closely.... well, Kenning, in fact.

It can be hard to tell Court by Kenning... but there is a decidely winter edge to Nelson

And when the samples are tried, it's.. excellent! Kentuckians are very proud of their Bourbon, claiming that if it isn't from Kentucky 'ts not really Bourbon. They should then be very worried about Nelson Newcomb's talent. This is as good if not better than what the Club serves now.

Emerson is not... effusive. But.... credit where it's due.

The whiskey has a great kick to it... right after a ride of smooth

"Not bad." He allows.

"Not bad? Hummph" The boggan says

"Nelson, show him the magical ones" The Satyr says

An eyebrow. "You have a better batch?"

"I got some what's glamour fueled... cantrips laced in the very stuff." Nelson crosses his arms "Mister hard to please"

"Ahhhh.... I see. And, I'll pass, but thank you." A small smile and he takes another sip of the unadulterated stuff.

"See, Caesar. Folks here that and they turn it down, never mind that I got stuff that could make beer goggles look like they're set on ugly. Or have two strangers chatting away like they were best friends for life"

As he drinks, EBG realizes that the relationship between Caesar and Nelson is..thus... Nelson likes the big satyr who is trying to help him. He does. But he also is hiding secrets aplenty from him.

More than that, some of the ingredients would make dandy poisons and other creations... even explosives.

William lets his mind drive, setting down his glass. What other boggans.....?

"Nelson, if you'd swallow your pride, you might realize Mr. Stodgepole here is a dream client for you. He co owns my mom's club. And if you were to get them interested in even a few cases of your product, they might help your situation"

A sigh. "And what situation is that?"

A raise of a brow at Nelson, then mmm "I don't like having my hat in my hand is all"

Caesar blabs "He's in danger of losing this place. Threats of emminant domain, behind on payments... more."

"Satyrs..sutble as a ... mmph!" Nelson says "Can I help it if this place has fallen down a little? "

Caesar shrugs "With that noble cutting you off supplies..."

"Don't say the name so help me"

Nelson says testily

"Let's not bring names into this." Emerson agrees.

"However.... you have a logistics issue?"

"I can't sell in a lot of areas... there's a boy cot"

"ANd he's too proud to sell it under another name"

"You are looking for an outlet, then?"

"Well, Caesar is looking..." A hurumph from the fellow "Me ?I don't like begging. My craft speaks for itself"

Caesar sighs "Dude, no shame in asking for a bit of aid"

Emerson sighs, and there might be a bit of brotherhood that passes between the two boggans.

Indeed, Nelson's expression says that satyrs just don't get it.

"Emerson, if you like his stuff, maybe you and mom would be interested in stocking it at the club. Maybe word gets out.. helps him. Meanwhile you get some quality booze that's got be just as good, and maybe a little chaper if only saving on transport because it's local" The satyr says
