"Miss CC..." April says "This is so not me..." she experiments on the heels carefully. Checking out her legs.

"Just CC is fine," CC says , "And every woman should , in her youth, have one 'little black dress' if she can pull it off. And you , my dear can pull it off." She takes a look at the blonde as she comes out from the changing room, "My, you pull it off very well in fact."

"I won't be able too for too long," April Maude puts her hand to her waist as if visualizing

"All the more reason," CC says looking her over, "My goodness, you DeBukes have great legs."

A blush "It's all the walking we do." The kinain explains. "Besides, I was going to say the same about yours."

"Oh that's dancing," CC assures "If we're going to mutually compliment each other I'm going to have to take you shopping more often."

"You don't have to do it now," April Maude says. "This is.... unreal."

The satyress raises a brow then says low "Unreal? Honey, you live on a magic farm with intelligent farm dogs, horse pooka, and singing crops."

"Well, that's just us" April says then smiles "But I see your point"

"Not sure about walking in these though" She tests the heels. They're not too high, after all, the kinain is a tall woman.

"Nonsense, you should be used to fine heights" CC says, then turns to see if Emerson is there "Let's get a man's opinion if we can"

"Mmm?" He looks up, as if unaware of current events. "Oh my. Miss April.... you are stunning."

"you don't think the hemline is too high?" She says then in a lower voice "i'm showing a lot of leg here"

Behind her, he can see CC cast her eyes heaven ward, no doubt asking the gods of carnality for strength

"You have the height, and tone, to make it work. The effect is.... stirring." He assures her.

Long blush "Well, I..guess. Would Caesar like it?"

"I think it is safe to say almost any straight man with a pulse would dear." CC says "And if Caesar doesn't, you lure elsewhere"

April's mouth falls open, "You're telling me to... I'm sorry, that's not what I expected to..."

CC looks at her, "Darling, I am what I am.. and so is he. And we would never ever inflilct a double standard on you that turned you into something on a shelf. You have your studies, you have your dreams, and if your passions and curious nature mix... to sample at the buffet table of life, you'll find no one more than us understands. "

"Hear hear." Emerson agrees.

She eyes them then, looks embarrassed, "I keep looking for the catch, where I find I've signed away my soul. I'm sorry"

CC smiles and looks over at Emerson, "it's a good thing she never saw you in that imp /devil out fit huh?"

He chuckles.

"That was a compliment for your outfit, Dearest. Miss April..." turning to her "... I am thrilled you are finding a comfortable situation here but.... understand. Miss CC, and Caesar, are not mortally conventional lovers. Arm yourself with that knowledge."

"It's... a real change. " APril admits. "I don't know how much I can accept ... watching him ...with other women"

"You needn't. He is sensitive, I think, and can be discrete. And for ypur part, you needn't be alone."

"Thank you" She says "I feel terribly selfish"

CC sighs "Darling, there is a difference between caring nothing for others, or even stomping in them to get ahead- and taking your own needs and dreams into account. You will do no one any good being less than you are, reaching for less than your hopes, it won't help them one bit for you to be ..small. To be without. Misery loves company but Misery is miserable so who trusts that judgement? You are ALLOWED to pursue happiness, you are alllowed to take care of your mental, phyisical , spiritual, and yes even material well being. "

April says "That doesn't sound much like what I was taught on the farm"

"Then without meaning, someone has done you a severe disservice " CC says

April glances at Emerson as if wondering if he agrees

He is nodding. "I could not agree more. What happens when the caretaker is exhausted?"

"I ..guess that's two people... at least who .. oh" April says "Then two people fall"

"At least" CC shoots Emerson a grateful look for summing up so well

"And you are already two people."

"Oh" that makes April laugh a bit "I guess I already AM caretaking aren't I?"

"Most assuredly." Gently.

"Oh honey, precious cargo doesn't even begin to describe" CC assures, "And I've noticed. You're not drinking, you're worried about what you eat. I think that's wonderful but trust me, you need to tend to your happiness. Now... that little black dress is wonderful, but I think at least one evening gown"

He nods. "Certainly."

"Oh, for Miss April. Yes, of course."

"Like for galas and things? " April says surprised and looks intrigued "i'm not the sort."

"Oh, never say never....."

"Just in case" And CC guides the young woman to that area "Now, you've got black down, I think now something more colorful"

"Something in peach or coral, perhaps. A blush."

"excellent idea" CC agrees "oh you've got the coloration for a nice blush"

And the ladies head off. Poor Emerson is.. in orbit

Oh yes. CC is not just helping the girl dress, she's nibbling at certain DeBuke conditioning, wearing it down with gentle unwindings rather than too many direct attacks. April is being remolded.. or more accurately, freed from her mold and then being gently guided to mold herself

There are times he wonders if CC and he were 'in the cause' still, what they could do with a small squad of wilders to guide.

His mind slips back to a wonderful, wonderful, dream.......
