She smiles, tentatively optimistic. "Yeah. Roomies."

"Ok, come on." He bounds to his feet, grabbing his backpack. "Oh... movies." He digs through and sets them on the futon.

The smile solidifies a bit. "Movies, yes. That I asked for."

"Sure, and next time you'll come see.... Oh, wait." He digs for his phone. "Excuse me." He types rapidly and then shoves the phone away. "Where do you want to go? There are some good rib places here."

"Yeah? How about you lead on. I don't know the restaurants, really..."

"Well, I've done some research." A sunny grin. "Come on." And he leads the way, indeed.

She follows, August's mood warming her own.
