Sparrow gets an incoming text. "Thinking about heading to your place. Are you in?"

A text back - "Yes." No emojis, just the word.

And soon after Sassy is clomping through the neighbor hood. It seems she can never be without music, or some way to make it. For on her back is a guitar in an old stiff cloth case. As usual her movements are almost aggressive as stalks through the streets. Many people getting a grumpy side eye if they even dare to comment to her. A short but sturdy looking girl, with long black hair worn in braids, and a brown hue to her skin. She is dressed in loose jeans and a baggy shirt. A black bomber jacket worn over it all, her hands deep in her pockets.

The same neighborhood - it is late afternoon, verging into evening. People are out in the streets in small groups, hanging out and talking, drinking beer and pop and iced tea. It is too early yet for some of the more unsavory characters to be out, and shift workers are walking down the sidewalk, are waiting by the bus stop.

She stops at Sparrows building and looks up for a moment. It looks like she is almost pondering climbing the fire escapes...again. Then she shakes her head and pulls out her phone. "Here." Then she waits. Though she still eyes the fire escapes as she does so.

It takes a minute, but the front door of the building eventually swings open. Sparrow is wearing a tank top over capri joggers in mis-matched blues. Her red hair is twisted up in a post-work bun, ends sticking out at all angles. And even -then-, somehow, it almost seems intentional - a casual dishabille, artful in its slouch.

She scuffs a little and shakes her head with a wry smile. "Sidhe." She mutters under her breath."Even after work on a Monday, you -still- manage to look good." She sniffs then, as though holding back a sneeze. "We should talk. " She shuffles from foot to foot, adjusting the guitar on her back.

"Been a while. Well... guess we should. Come on up?" Her wings are closely furled, avoiding contact with the close quarters of the lobby.

"Sorry. I was trying to figure some stuff out." She eyes Sparrow a moment, then she moves to follow her into the building. "I have not talked to many people of late."

Sparrow leads the way up the switchback steps, one hand lightly trailing along the battered wooden rail. "I can guess. Luke texted me about it already."

She snorts lightly but still follows. She seems to be in deep in thought. "Well, I figure, I have heard his side. Now I want to hear yours. Then, I might have a few questions, or something like that." She flips one of her long braids over her shoulder. "Sound fair?"

She shrugs as she unlocks the apartment, and opens the door for Sassy. It is much the same - futon, plastic drawers, thrift store rugs. The mural around the window is about where Sass had last seen it, a few blocks of color and charcoal outlines.

She looks to the mural. Then back at Sparrow. "No more done yet?"

She looks over at the window, then lets her gaze slide away. "I've been busy. You want something to drink? Water? Tea?"

She eyes the mural, then eyes Sparrow. Her braids fly as she shakes her head. "No thanks. I'm good."

"Just let me know, okay? It's no imposition." She scoots around the satyr to access the little fridge, retrieving a pitcher of tea for herself.

She seems strangely level. Strangely calm. But then she regards Sparrow once more. The only emotions showing are the ones in her dark eyes. Snapping, almost piercing with some anger but mostly confusion. "Sparrow. While you were at that party. Was Jade ever in direct danger?"

She pours a glass of tea, not looking back at the satyr. "I don't... I don't think so."

"Was Luke?" Her head tilted to one side as she stand in the window, looking out. Her guitar case now at her feet.

"At the party? No."

She gives a little nod, relaxes just a touch. "Is that why you left Jade behind?"

"Yes. Luke.. Luke had made it pretty clear that me being... overprotective... wasn't welcome there. "

"She's his sister. He'd protect her. Make sure she made it home."

She nods a bit, the bells at the ends of her braids chiming softly. She would never make a good cat burglar. She is still looking out the window her brow furrowed. "Luke does not believe you to be trust worthy. I guess he asked you not to tell me about...-things- and you did." Said as a statement, not a question. "Yes. He would do his best to get Jade home...." She is frowning slightly still thoughtful.

"Yeah. I know. I told you they were will workers. He sent me a text about how that cost him Jade."

She puts the pitcher away, and takes the glass over to sit on the edge of the futon. She doesn't drink.

She does not seem to concerned about the Jade part, for now. She thumps a beat on the windowpane, lightly, with the tips of her fingers. "He said there were more fae than will-workers at the party. Kevin, You, Jade and Luke..of course."

"Yes. And Rayne, who seems nice. And Jarrod." Despite herself, an agitated flick.

She gives a little nod. Then finally looks over to Sparrow. Her head tilts to one side. "Why did you decide to tell me what you did?" Truly curious.

"I... I was upset. I know, I'm not Luke's mom. Or his guardian. I'm not even his friend anymore, I don't get to tell him what to do. And I shouldn't have betrayed him, but I didn't... I didn't want to lie to you, either..."

"I'm sorry if I fucked things up between you." She has her gaze fixed on her lap, both hands holding the iced tea.

"But I don't trust Jarrod. I tried. And I tried to be polite, but he wouldn't... he wouldn't back off..."

"Seelie fae. What a mess." She rolls her eyes heavenwards. Then she looks fully at Sparrow. "Why did you fight against the gift?" She does not seem upset by this, but instead merely curious. "And this Jarrod fellow. What did he do at the party to upset you? Or was it from the times before?"

"Because... because I was upset and uneasy, and Jarrod had been... Jarrod wouldn't... I was giving him space. I didn't want to lose control. I was supposed to watch Jade, and I was.. I was afraid of losing control..."

She sighs. "So its partly my fault too." She shakes her head. "I just wanted you to make sure she got to the party safe. Just while she was in this Thallian infested city. Luke does not fight. He does not like to. But once she was at the party, I knew she would be safe." She gives a sigh. Then she looks directly at Sparrow. "Is Jade safe with Luke?"

She rubs at her face. "Please, I'm sorry. Yes, Luke will watch Jade, I'm sure. He loves her. If he's... if... she's safe with him."

"I'm sorry if I screwed things up with your tragos. I don't know how to make it better."

She gives a little nod. "Sparrow, look, satyrs don't do well with rules, or boundaries, not even seelie ones." She smiles a little wickedly. "And I do even worse. I feel elated when I get others to try things they might not do other wise. Change is fun, new things are exciting and fun and sometimes scary. Luke, is trying new things. He is going to make mistakes. We all do. But we can't be afraid of them. That's not a way to live." She waves a hand then at Sparrow. " And as far as the tragos, we will fix it if its meant to be fixed.. Luke is family. But. All that said...I think I need to talk to Luke again." Emotions play in her eyes once more. These ones a little harder to read. "I need to talk to Thal too. Oi. Why did I have to play the best music. Slackers." She starts for the door. "For better for worse. I'll be back."

She closes her eyes, wings sagging. A nod.

The door shuts softly behind the satyr and she is off. Sparrow can hear her hooves clopping lightly down the stairs.

"Goodbye, Sass." After the door is shut.
