"Yeah, you better stay there."

"I guess you told her" A mutter

"Nocker's cat. Ornery." He looks back, with narrowed eyes* "Haven't come to Firnost much. Figured was better, you know, give you guys some space."

"I've been home a lot. You should come by, maybe, you want."

"It was kind of you, I thought maybe I'd pissed you off..." He admits

The kitten mews softly and stalks the troll instead. The music continues to play, but at a lower volume. What ever it is JImmy is up to, one will never know.

Earl reaches into is pocket and pulls out some lint. He blows it... and lets it drift over the kitten

"Nah. Like I said. Wouldn't go past Beltaine. That was the day for it."

It takes the bait, leaping after the lint, stalking it in its fashionable bright orange sweater.

"Home? You mean, New York?"

She nods.

He watches the kitten amused. And gestures... fancily... gimmixing the lint...and making it zig around in swirly patterns

"Scarsdale. And Miriam. But.. but is it so bad that part of me wants to do something?"

"Something like what?"

"I don't know. Fun."

"Can show you how to assemble an exhaust system."

"I can portal passage you into a house and you can leave scary messages on someone's mirror"

"Or carved in their skin."

"Ah...wow...not thinking of that far."

A twist of a grin at Earl* "Scarier."

"I might need a new pen. " She shrugs. "Don't know. Just... mayhaps it is the spring?"

"Probably. When I feel like cooking, though, I'll give you a call."

"We could tip a cow pooka..." MIGHT be joking

"Hey!" Suddenly the nocker yells from the back. "NO arse! Ya got that order done yet? Iff'in ya wast'in my time, your skinny but will get kicked otta' here like a cap be'in kicked out of a buffet restaurant!" A pause..."And ya won't git the bonus I wuz plann'in fer ya....bub."

"I would like that, yes."

He rolls eyes and huffs at the yelling* "Guess lunch is up."

A wince at the shouting. "Ohhh, we tarried overlong."

"Was good to have a conversation that didn't hurt my ears for once." He offers Earl a hand*

Rasping over at Zara* "Still working off another debt, wouldn't see the bonus anyway." *Sardonically

"Nockers, nu?"

"Nockers." *He agrees

He shakes ICE's hand and shakes it firmly but warmly, "Good to see you again, man. And thanks for coming to my knighting."

"It's fine. I'd come to your funeral too."

A curious look at Zara, a bit of mischief in his eyes, "Come on. I think I've got an idea."

*He lifts chin to both, as he lets go -- his hand is icy cold -- and grabs up his latex gloves to head for the back again "See you, Ghost."

She waves to Ice, offering one last smile before turning to go. "An idea...?"

And he JUST manages to avoid tripping on the cat as she darts past his feet. He hisses a curse after the retreating orange sweater*

"Yeah, I heard you, still haven't managed to make me go deaf. Not that you haven't been trying..." Rasping as he gets back into the shop, muttering*

he carefully does NOT let his smile get confused for ICE's interaction with the kitten and walks with Zara "Well, you know the farm land is much warmer now... and cow tipping is fine... but if you want to get some late night spooking down...have you ever tried rural haunting ? Making scarecrows move... gloom casting out of old tractors... sparse but spooky?"

He turns as the cat is trotting back to the shop -- and shuts the door right before it can go through the doorway. It sits and MIAOWS loudly to be let in from the front of the shop. Loudly, and irritatingly*

And Ice goes back to work*

"I am not tipping a cow...." Off with Earl.

"Can you feel the love tonight...." Plays as Earl and Zara walk out.

Earl looks left, right... "Second, Zara." He walks back over , winks at her, and let's the cat back in then runs back to her, "Okay... he's going to figure out that out but if we're living dangerously...' (Gone with her)
