The Dolly Parton Chimera are plentiful of late, sometimes simple, sometimes complex.

And not the least of them is Jolene, that one is a menace. Of late she appears, flirts with taken men, and then tries to lure them away from their fellows. Jolene chimera seems to hang around the Goldfinch holding a lot, and some of the ladies are grumbling about the hussy.

It's not quite close enough to Samhain for Sylvi to have her own Jolene-like impulses yet. For the moment, she merely tries to shoo them away when they're making some people just a little too uncomfortable.

Prissy snorts, "I get paid for eating them."

Sylvi snickers. "Can't imagine they taste too good."

"Kind of sugary and fake," She grins, "But others are bitching... Now the other chimera related to Dolly are doing okay I guess. Images of Dolly herself but the weird thing is the coat..."

"Coat? What coat?"

"Some song about a Coat of Many colors... " Prissy shrugs "I don't do country much."

"Me neither, except what my folks listen to sometimes. But are you saying there's a coat chimera?"

"More like signs of a treasure, it appears, and pulls this 'excalibur is out there' vibe, and withdraws fast to wherever it is."

"Huh. Sort of a saw-it-from-the-corner-of-my-eye thing?" Sylvi considers that. "Wonder if it might actually be a treasure, not just a lure."

"That's what others are wondering, and you know what its like, wilders see a treasure to quest for they get eager. Only thing is, Linwood told me the song was about love enriching one even in poverty or some shit? Doesn't exactly sound exciting."

"Well, we sure have our share of fae who have grown up in poverty. Probably sounds plenty exciting for them. I mean, I'm tempted to hunt for it, because, y'know, treasure, right? But...I'm pretty sure it's not meant for me." She doesn't say in a haughty way, but she is very much aware of just how much privilege she benefits from compared to a lot of her peers.

"Oh yeah ,you're one cushy bitch," Prissy agrees in that way nockers and redcaps have , "Not that you don't work your ass off mind you. So, you want us to keep an eye out for it anyway? Or just leave it be?"

She thinks about it a moment. "I guess...keep an eye out, but if fights start up over who has a right to it, let me know. We don't need that kind of shit."

"Awww, I LIKE fights, but okay"

A bit of a grin. "Then again, I'm guessing a treasure like that wouldn't provide much for somebody who wouldn't understand it, anyway."

She laughs. "You can't tell me there aren't plenty of other things to brawl about these days."

"Oh, hey, that reminds me...election season is coming up. Can I count on you to make sure folks behave themselves while waiting on polling lines?"

"Oh sure, Dirk's more into politics than I am, but we got plans that if an ICE agent shows up nearby we'll show him what Intimidation is REALLY about," She smirks.

"Love it. Oh, and I've been meaning to ask...can you guys eat Flock cameras, or are they too banal?"

"You hadn't heard?" She says surprised, "Oh geez you need to talk to our boggans more. They're not fully banal, but they are spawning some nervousa. Someone already took one out."

A scowl. "Nervosa. Ugh. Did it hurt anybody?"

"a few scares but someone has been declaring war on em back. " She says "Honest I don't know the full details, but the regular ones are getting pranked hard, but no pooka is confessing. Not that you can trust pooka to tell youwhat's what anyway. Birdshit on one, another with a sock... and the Nervousa are dangerous but somehow losing."

She scratches her chin, "SO you want us to help against them too? I don't mind. Don't appreciate assholes spying on every road I take all the way home and selling the info. Perv city if you ask me."

Sylvi nods. "Exactly. I want 'em gone if possible, but at the very least I want them messed-with. Even if it's just a matter of a well-placed gob of spit that keeps it from getting a clear picture of license plates or whatever."

"Frick. I'll eat em from behind if need be," She offers.

"Oh, and any mortal you hear complaining about them? Make their lives a little easier if you can. Like, send a boggan their way at the right moments, y'know?"

"Okay , but You better tell Etsie this because I get bored and she's your Veep," Yawn

"Just don't get caught messing with the things. Don't want to have to bail you out of whatever ice-cold holding cell they'd have."

Sylvi chuckles. "Oh, don't worry, I will. Everything else going okay for you?"

"Oh a hoot, so many sunny sides feeling Samhain early... good gals going bad, gents becoming jerks... Unseelie all the time gets to see the twist and chuckle. It's payback for when Beltain make us stupid." She's not bitter!

"It's barely September! If you think it's getting an early start, I wonder how intense Samhain's going to be this year." Although, really, nobody really remembers how intense any Samhain gets, do they?

"We'll see. Frankly I plan to ..." Suddenly Prissy stops and looks like she just almost said something she doesn't think is wise.

That doesn't escape Sylvi's notice. She tries to keep from smiling, but does tilt her head with a bit of curiosity. "Yes?" she invites Prissy to continue.

"Honest? I thought I'd keep half an eye on your mom. She's tied to the Barony now, when she goes Unseelie, the land will get a bit more nightmarish," She shrugs "You asked by the way, so yeah, I'm involving your mom."

Sylvi lets out a brief, wry chuckle. "And mom's not like Aunt Brekke. She doesn't fight that part of the year very much. It used to really embarrass me when I was a childling, sometimes. Well, actually, I guess it used to really scare me a bit," she admits.

"Yeah, honestly most folks don't know about Brekke's unseelie side at all. I asked Siv once, she flat out told me none of my biz ... and I let it be. Your mom's more open.. and while I don't think is going to dive right into her Unseelie side, you can beat she wont try to deny it as much so the signs should be more open. She scared you eh ? Fun" Awicked grin, "Makes me wonder if she won't be more Cap friendly? Not that she is against us usually. Just saying nice to have an ally higher up."

"Maybe, but I wouldn't count on her being happy about it if you go too extreme. I used to get scared because she'd get tougher and angrier when things weren't going the way she thought they should. Not like she'd beat me or anything, but...oof...I wouldn't try to out-browbeat her when it's right around Samhain."

"She gets this STARE...."

A brief shudder.

"Huh, crap." Prissy says looking sympathetic, "So your DAD is the softie?" Most folks assume Olgar's blighted face means he's meaner than most trolls

"I wouldn't say that to his face. Might not want to say it in front of me again, either." She gives a quick wink...but it's a genuine warning -- don't diss her dad.

A smirk but she does take the hint, "Fine fine. Okay , back to the flocks, maybe we can make it a contest?"

"Hmm. Say more."

"Well, we want this stuff down, but we don't want folks caught, so what if you make it known that folks can form 'Warbands' at least 3 members, so no one is alone, and the warband that kills or ruins the most flocks without getting caught gets a prize AND bragging rights? "

"With a deadline of Pennons to name the winning group. I like it!"

Prissy grins "See, I can have good ideas. "

"Never doubted it. Let me put some details together, get Etsie and Piper's input on it, then we'll get the word out. You can float the idea informally via rumor mill, if you want."

"Sure, I'll get Luca and the boggan squad spreading it too."
