Dag flashes a grin.

"Lucia's always got the extra basil in her red sauce, though."

"She treats us right," Sylvi agrees with a nod.

A blush "Guys, Kerri can kick my cullinary ass and you know it and my parents ARE the Italian pros. Obnoxiously stubborn sometimes, and I'm mad at them, but let's not give me airs"

She rolls her eyes.

Then "Oh, have to have the Basil... " A look at Sylvi from the side

"And this it the lasagna with the basil. And, like, five cheeses."

"Whatever. Your food is still damn awesome." Then a look at Lucia: Don't you dare.

"You noticed the cheese variety" PLEASED.

And Sylvi notes the gentle touch of contriteness, more obligatory than sincere

Dagmar is sincere. She likes Lucia's food.

"We've all got parents who are amazing cooks. Not going to help to get all competitive about who is better or best. You're awesome, so just accept it," she says firmly to Lucia.

"I yield I yield" A smile "But being a cook isn't my goal, not for work. I hope mom and dad get it"

"Heck, no! Just because you're good at something doesn't mean you have to make that your focus, right?"

Dag taps her nose.

Though, huh. A little crease between her brows.

"I LIKE representing the causes I believe in" She nods

"I like that you like that." Sylvi grins. "And that's a lot of causes, right?"

"Well, yes. The nobles of other barones don't always understand we don't want our slice all urbanized for example. They think more city means more dreamers. I've had to explain it's not always so and even then the TYPE of dreams matters"

Sylvi shakes her head. "It's called quality over quantity, you noble numb-nuts."

A little prickle, arms folded.

"And we have wild places to protect. Probably why we get on so good with our prodigals, too."

A point towards Dagmar in agreement.

"No kidding, had to defend Klump's right to secrecy" A hurumph "They wanted to know where his anchor was for Security purposes"

Eyes wide. "Who wanted to know that, exactly?"

Sylvi keeps an eye on Dagmar in case an explosion is imminent.

Her amber eyes are suddenly very dangerous.

"More than one, but the one giving the hard press is Lord..." She sees the look "Ah, Dagmar, if I give you the name you're not going to hunt him down and challenge him or anything are you? I have to WORK with the old fossil"

"I won't hunt him down and challenge him to a duel."

"Uh HUH" Dubious

"Dagmar can lock it down," Sylvi confirms.

"Right?" she says to Dagmar.

"She can she can" A breath "Sorry, Dagmar. Unfair of me to not just tell you. It's Lord Adalbert Von Graff"

Her eyebrows scrunch down. "House? Barony?"

"He's a landless noble, and a graybeard ah, a Gwydion. He's very traditional in a lot of ways and put in charge of security protocals over the thanes and so on. He's fair, mind you, but geez... i think the Baron Kealan and I offend him by not sharing everything"

Sylvi looks to Dagmar. "The commonality of house might give you a chance to get through to him with reason rather than threats."

"Or you might work with Adalwin" A pleased smile "That's his ward, and a Gwydion too, and is FAR more reasonable"

"That's a good option, probably a better one."

"Oh they go at it like a father and son who still love each other. God, Adalwin is dreamy too. All sidhe are but the guy would hit all my buttons. "A blush

Sylvi grins. "Maybe you have been spending too much time in court," she teases.

"Oh he's a dream boat, UNFORTUNATELY ... for me and other wilder gals, he's VERY firmly into men" wistful "Life's so not fair"

She chews on her lower lip.

"I don't actually deal with my house very often."

A blink at Dagmar. "Why? You never had problems with Chieftain Brekke."

"Course not. Chief's my liege, still. I'm proud to serve her."

"Right, but...okay, so why don't you deal with other Gwydions much?"

"How many other Gwydions are here?"
