Not your fault, not mine, not even hers I suppose. She's got her insecurities, and she's been frustrated about the limits around her for a long time"

"I mean, you're not wrong, but I wish I understood her better. I think I used to. But...she doesn't just come out and say what's up, and I get close to figuring it out, she gets...it's like a wounded creature that's been cornered. She was like that a lot more when she was brand new here, but it still happens."

"Well, I have an edge. I'm a boggan, and finding out about interactions is our niche," She says "Probably WHY we end up in so many holds, we want things running smoothly and we think we're the best at it. She doesn't like change, but she HAS changed, for the better I think. The problem with growth is, it makes you question your boundaries. Did you see how she reacted when the subject of Courts and Gwydions came up? She's feeling ... curious I suppose, and a bit frustrated that she hasn't had her chance yet. I don't think she wants my job, but ... she's a big fish now , right? With that, she realizes she's in something of a small pond. But she considers this HOME, and she's grateful, so that makes her feel INGRATEFUL... enter insecurity spiral"

"She has mentioned wanting to do bigger adventures, quests and stuff. Which I'm pretty sure is a big part of why Aunt Brekke didn't make her Storm right away -- give her a chance to explore more before being saddled with a duty that big. Of course, that has its own problems, right?"

"It does," A nod "I think making introductions to other Gwydions might help her, and she may want to take a month or two to get to know them. No problem, Mountain Vali has an emmisary job lined up for her"

"He does? Does she know that?"

"I thought it had been mentioned to her but she might still feel frustrated until it's concrete." A shrug "Honestly, Mountain Vali is facing his usual problem..too many plates to juggle, not enough time to juggle them. Remember how bad it was for him when first being Mountain?"

"There does seem to be a lot of plates for him. Well, do you know where he's wanting her to emissary to?

"Not specifically though, but a place with Gwydions, sure of that. Partly because Gwydions trust their own a lot more than other houses. I think it MIGHT be Starbear"

"YOUR old stomping grounds" A smile

She smiles. "Starbear is really beautiful. Really COLD, but really beautiful. I think Dagmar would like visiting there. And she'd be able to see Aunt Brekke."

"Exactly, " She says

"Oh, Dika-Hannah is still making her own rounds here and there and will be in the area soon" The boggan takes a drink as if idly chatting and NOT mentioning one of her friends other friends

"Oh! Oh, that's great! How'd you hear that? I mean, yeah, boggan-network, but more specifically?"

"First Rule of Boggan Network, do not talk about Boggan Network" She says faux somberly

A very emphatic eye-roll.

"Okay okay, she was spotted by a boggan who works at a hold in Texas who attended a gather and heard her saying she would be heading to Apples next . That got me curious and I looked up other gathers online and she'll appear in the New York/Jersey area"

"All it takes for me to crack the boggan network is an eyeroll? Good to know. And excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing her."

An eye roll of her own "Helps if you're a friend, but we're not sluagh. We don't go holding onto every secret going 'no, it's mine, my precious'"

"Don't cheapen my victory." She gives a wink.

A grin breaks on the boggans face, and she puts her drink down, stnads up , and starts a cheer "Sylvi Sylvi, she's the best, north south east or west! Sylvi Sylvi she's so fine, she's got the looks she's got the mind, GOOOOO Sylvi!" Doing a routine like they did in high school

She did not expect that, and she breaks out in giggles!

And her laughter is joined

"You are so corny!"

"And I love it!"

"Thanks" She ssays "We had some fun on those corny routines, though it was WORK. Remember the 'Moving Pyramid' attempt? Oh that went bad on us"

"There's only so much you can do to fend off gravity," Sylvi points out. "At least without risking Right of Ignorance."

"We were lucky we had a troll to at least help the collapse go gentler than it could have," She nods "So, ABOUT Basil and or your love life. Before Dagmar came in, I had asked you to E-Laborate?"

Sylvi blinks at the sudden gear change, and blushes a bit, though she tries to play it off. "About what, exactly?"

"You said 'He's great. Fun, y'know?' but the WAY You said it made me think I was missing some juicy bits , or a but, or a 'and yet'" She arches a brow

Sylvi makes a face and shakes her head. "If you think you're listening for wedding bells, you're way off."

"Nope, didn't think that." She assures "First of all, way too young imo, so am I, for the big marriage bit. Second, you're not in the right spot for it with new job and President duties. BUT.." She grows softer in her tone "I know there was an undercurrent? Good, bad? Coflicted?"

"No! I mean...it's not good or bad, because it's not a relationship like that. It's just...fun, y'know? But..." she sighs "...seems like sometimes that's not what people want to hear from a troll."

A brow knit, "Then those people suck and need to back up" She says firmly "I'm not going to bitch about my parents deciding what i should or shouldn't do with MY life only to judge you because you happen to ENJOY sex. Good on YOU if you are, dammit. It's okay to know pleasure while still searching for love or even holding off a search for love. You're a grown ass woman, and half human on top of it. "

She's a bit surprised by the forcefulness of this, and actually salutes with a smirk. "Yes, ma'am!"

A salute back then an admission "Sorry, got a bit riled on your behalf there"

"Hey, no apologies needed! Nice to know there's somebody else feeling that way."

"But y'know...it's not really the bit about enjoying sex. It's the bit about not enjoying committment. I think that's what people think is un-trolly."

"Oh... well, yeah, THAT'S just unnatural" she puts up a hand "Joking joking. Look, you LIKE being free? That's also your choice. Maybe that's why you liked Goldfinch at first glance? It's all about being who YOU are"

"I...guess? I mean...yeah, it doesn't have any legacy other than creativity, right? And that's always going involve moving targets."

A nod "Look, I'm a match maker by nature, I know it, so if I suggest a guy to you and you end up really liking him a LOT, I hope you'll forgive me."

"But , I'm also on your side , and if you're happy being footloose and fancy free, more power to you"

Amused. "Oh, now I'm curious about who you might suggest."

A chuckle "Well, hearing you're not looking for anything serious yet, I have a few to take off the list. Let me ask you something, what traits would you want in a regular?"

"A 'regular'?" She laughs again. "Geez, I don't even know. I mean, I guess it makes me shallow, but I like a hot guy. But I'm not asking you to come up with an idea -- just what ideas you've already had."

"Well, I almost said 'mate' but wasn't sure how you'd take it" She says "So HOt.." A mental note then "Oh, fine. NOT Counting guys you already know like Basil and Linwood, and.. mmm you MET Majestix, right?"
