Etsie warms herself by the fire, the old satyress rocker sighs wistfully "I'm not exactly ready to go, you know?" The fire , weaker than some, reassures her.

Steps on the stairs, and soon Sylvi comes into view. She spots the satyress near the fire. "Hey, Etsie. What's up?"

"mmm?" A weak smile "Just chatting with the fire, kiddo. I am a BIT tied to it. " A beat "Glad you're back though. Everything okay? Basil walked out of here earlier with balls so blue I thought they were going to start using the word 'smurf'. You two have a fight?"

"Glad you are," she says regarding the balefire. "I think it really likes having the OG around." Then a blush about Basil. "Oh, I hope he wasn't mad, but no. No fight. There was just some big stuff going on." A pleased smile. "I needed to help out."

"Oh, then he'll be fine. He knows your a troll, and duty is big for you guys" She grins "or should. Not a bad kid mind you. I..."

Suddenly music blares from above, numerous songs, all of them girl power related!

Which is, even if you only pick a handful from every decade, a LOT of songs

A blink, and she looks upward. "What in the...?"

She turns and heads back up the stairs.

"Don't look at me, I think I hear Diana Ross, Katy Perry, Beyonce and is that Helen Reddy?" Etsie follows

Chimerical waves fly by in scattered notes, and yes, Helen Reddy who the wilder may not know hears...

"It's a LOT," Sylvi agrees as she vanishes to the main floor.

And for some reason, there's presidental banners appearing

She looks to see if she can find the source.

Serenity says "I Had my smart phone on the news, and it went nuts. " She speaks up

Then the banners start appearing, and she stops, grinning.

"Hey, I get it." She looks up to the stained glass bird. "Pretty amazing news, right?"

the piskie "That is, the hold. Apparently, uhm.. apparently your hold found some silver lining in the otherwise banal world of politics?"

A snicker from Sylvi. "Just wait until you meet more sidhe, especially ones from certain houses. You'll see some people see politics as not banal at all."

"Oh! I wonder if Etsie heard about it!"

"Yeah, Dirk's like that" She admits then smiles "I guess the hold is a sufrigette sort of?"

The hold's history and pride might be something she doesn't fully grasp yet

A bit of a side-eye for just a moment before she casually says, "Yeah, Dirk's got a real talent with politics. He sees a lot, and nobody expects him to see a lot. "

"Suffer.. oh goodness, " Etsie says joining them "We GOT the right to vote. This is a dream of breaking the BIG GLASS, the Oval Office ... VP down, now we get to see if the best man for the leader of the free world job is a woman. Clearly" She pats the walls "Goldfinch is picking sides and inspired"

Serenity blushes a bit "Yes well..he's still kind of a pig"

"Goldfinch ain't a dummy."

A little grin at Serenity. "You get used to it. And if Dirk's in charge of keeping you safe, you're gonna be safe."

"Given the alternative, I heartedly agree" Etsie says "What's this about Dirk?"

"Yeah, he's already protected me from two guys and a .. well, a chimera of some sort. It tried to snatch me up, I didn't get a good look he.. he ate it so fast"

As she goes on, Serenity gulps "Blood EVERYWHERE. I tried to give him a cloth to wipe his face. He ate that too"

Sylvi laughs. "That's Dirk," she nods. "But listen...you're gonna run into a lot of fae who freak you out and creep you out. Sometimes that's the right instinct. Other times, those people can be your best people. And sometimes the ones that look safe and sane are the ones who want to use you."

"She's right on that" Etsie nods "A pretty face don't mean no pretty heart. I learned that, right from the start" A wink

"I uhm.. met his brrother Symon. I might have been a bit rude." Serenity sighs "I really thought I would get the hang of this fairy tale stuff fast but I'm keep hittting bumps"

"Speaking of..." Sylvi smiles as she says to Etsie, "Did you hear about Symon and Dagmar?"

"no, what's the story there?" Etsie says, and taps the vending machine, "Whiskey flavored Ensure? Not sure wether insulted or intrigued"

"Both, both is good," Sylvi says about the drink.

"So..." Sylvi puts her hands out to claim the stage for the announcement. "Symon and Dagmar have finally Oathed!"

At that, the girl songs fade just a bit, and there's a few 'huzzah trumpet' sounds from the hold

Etsie says "OATHED? You're kidding!" SHe grins though

"Dagmar is oathed to that... uhmm guy?" Serenity looks boggled

"I'm being totally for real. Awesome, right?"

Sylvi says to Serenity, "Yes, she's oathed to her absolutely best friend in the whole Dreaming, and he to her, and I swear it's been one hell of a story to get them here. Someday I hope you'll understand what they see in each other."

"It's fantastic! Let's see, Balloons, cake, rock and roll, naughty truth or dare games for the party... " Etsie grins

"I LIKE Dagmar" Serenity says "I guess I was wrong about Symon more than a little" She sighs

"Oh, no, Etsie...no parties. Not really their style at all."

"What did you think about Symon, Serenity?"

"Who said we needed them HERE to celebrate?"

"I thought he was a bit rude like his brother and creepy.. " Serenity admits
