The shuffle step is fun, a good way to burn energy, twerking is easy, but sure gets you noticed. Massey goes through them all. Having fun at Goldfinch. And, because she is who she is, she doesn't much care if people stare at her while she practices her moves.

Mortals and kinain alike are at this level. Most grin at her, or bob their head along as she works. Then, between beats she hears it...

"Young people, they've got energy, but no grace, no elegance, sexy but not sensual" The woman speaking to her husband probably doesn't mean to talk that loud, but she does "I don't think this is the place to learn dancing for us."

Now, Massey is NOT an instructor here. SHe's only in the area for a week or two. But the easy going young woman IS a satyress, and every satyress has a button of something that while ire her. She looks at the 'old woman'.. who is really only 33 or so. Why then, is she insisting on acting like a grouchy Boomer dissing young folks? Massey cuts the music off, "Beg pardon?"

THe husband, who kept his eyes OFF the young long haired woman for his own safety winces "Sorry to intrude. "

"No, this place is open to all with open minds, or so I'm told," Massey says "I just thought I heard something."

The wife does not take her husband's pleading look and just decides to be 'honest'... which is to say, she got caught being rude and is doubling down, "My husband and I were getting dance lessons. We thought we might try for such here, but this is a little too.. " a deliberate pause "Simplistic? "

Massey wonders how well THIS woman would do a shuffle step, "How so?"

"Bump and grind is neither new nor classsy, and the criss cross cris cross motions are... well, if you're a teacher here, I don't think we're going to find the elegance and sensuality of dance we were hoping for" The woman says

The Husband has that forlorn look. HE was hoping his wife would just enjoy learning togethher. He didn't know she was this specific.

Massey does NOT teach here. She doesn't. But she feels..challenged.

"I understand... but you're confusing a small sample with the whole package. You saw a few things, and firgue that's all they have here" Massy moves to a music player and pops in a very different set of music, "Another moment of your time to prove you wrong?"

"That won't be..." The Husband starts to say.

The older woman however smirks "Sure.. IMPRESS me."

And Massey smiles..

By the time she is done, the married couple are GAWKING, the wife having no more luck at concealing her awe than the husband. Massey smiles, and says "Goldfinch is a good place for those with an open mind. Dance styles, music styles period, they're a lot like love... there's room in your heart for so much of it. You can have favorites, most do but... a closed mind and a closed heart cheat the owner there of of a LOT of wonderful things. You should consider spending your money... here. Pardon, I need to go meet a friend" And she flows past them leaving them head whipping to watch her go.

As Massey heads to the front door, a little glowing bird in the window tries to fistbump (Wingtip bump) her through the glass. Massey gives a pleased laugh, and walks on out.
