She bites her lip. "You don't remember I brought this up right at the start of...all this?" She gestures at the hold.

"I mean, I've got nothing against staying!" she says, half laughing. "I'm just, y'know, trying to do the right thing."

"I guess I do, kinda? But I thought it was just, like, something people say for modesty like when accepting an award. I never really thought you'd have any plans to leave..."

She looks puzzled. "You're like the last person I thought would be okay with me being a permanent freeholder. Or with anybody being a permanent freeholder. Isn't that too much like nobility?"

"Well, I don't have much problem with Nobility. I guess I have a bit of an issue with authority... or I did, back when I toe'd the line a bit more. And to admit it, shitty as it sounds, I had a problem with Sidhe. Mostly, in that they tended to have power they were given just by being born to it, and didn't have responsibility to use it right. I still do, but I like to think I've gotten better at not painting them ALL with the same brush. Every kith can have bullies. Theirs just happens to be born with the ability to do it better when they do."
