Samhain /Halloween decorations go up a slightly chaotic way

There are loops of streamers which sometimes get tangled in certain people's horns. A fake skeleton leans in a corner with a vape hanging out of its teeth.

Prissy helps but comments a lot "I'm telling you, I could have got a real skeleton"

"Yeah, I'm not in the mood to deal with a felony just yet," Sylvi says as she stretches some spooky black tattered drapes over windows.

"Mmmph..."

Dirk however more approving... "Hey, got those 'murder scene outlines tapes' in the hall floor..."

She says to Prissy, "Hey, can you put some red hand-splatters on the walls? Something we can wash off later. NOT real blood."

"Oh, cool, let me see!" Sylvi goes to follow Dirk.

"Yeah I can do that..." She moves on to do so

Dirk's done a good job, the lay out has a slightly twisted neck to the pattern

"Oh, that's creeepy," she says with an approving shiver.

"I just got to thinking how it's a shame Symon can wiggle out of my choke holds... and what if he couldn't?" A disturbingly serene smile

Sylvi blinks. "Y'know...I'm glad I don't piss you off too often."

The serene smile grows "It's like Russian roulette, it just has to be that ONE time... " Then he goes "HA. Huh, even Goldfinch is looking forward to this" He glances over to the window where the glass has taken on a hellfire ting

Sylvi tries not to gulp too audibly, then looks to where the bird perches in the window.

It would be more intimidating if the bird itself didn't have these silly little redhorns that kept slipping like an unruly mask

A bit of a snicker. "Okay, I'm kinda lovin' that."

"So, look, I'm gonna be handing out candy out front. This is the nice stuff, okay? Like, making nice-nice with the mortals. Would rather not terrify the little ones while the sun is still shining, because then we have to deal with the parents."

"So if you'd LIKE to help out with that, that's cool, but no truly disturbing stuff."

"Wait, we're not allowed to mess with mortals?" Lola Mendoza "I mean, what about some folks our own age?"

"I'm just saying in the afternoon, and just the little kids. When the sun goes down? Or if it's teens and stuff? Well..." She gives a bit o a mischievous grin and a shrug. "It's Samhain."

"Oh, and if anybody comes around talking about how it's a sinful devil holiday? They're DEFINITELY fair game."

A WHOOP breaks out

Sylvi basks a bit in the approving cheers.

"I'll help with the kids" Romana the Boggan offers "At least a bit"

"Great!" she says to Romana.

RIkki says "Shame we can't mix the best of both worlds. FInd out which kids are being bullied or mistreated by whoever, then make like abusive parents or bullies at school fair game?" THe raccoon pooka shakes her head "But alas, such a merging of do goodery and wicked wwhimsey could never catch on"

"Oh, we can totally find that stuff out. And I figure once it gets dark outside, like up until 8 or 9, we can still hand stuff out to teens and do some jump scares and gross-outs...but after 9? We shut down the nice-nice stuff, and...well...we see what Samhain brings us." She looks around to see what response that gets.

More nods, and calls of approval, not as loud and therefore pleasing as the first set of cheers.

"And if it brings us a hunt for some folks to deserve it? Game on!"

THAT gets more enthusiasm! //Lucia comes with with the food materials she's borrowed from her folks, "Okay... you guys better appreciate the 'worms' and 'eyeballs' I've got for the blind feelers..." meaning pasta strands and grapes "Speaking of that, real food... did you ask your mom about us taking some edibles from the lodge to here or ddo I need to have some pizzas made and kept warm?" The boggan has been grumbly about the lack of a proper often here, but mostly others don't care. This is the age of Grub-a-Club-Grub and other services

"Oh, crap...I have to talk to her. I think I can get her to send some stuff over, especially since we're taking over the rowdy part of Samhain...but she gets real stingy about supplies right about now, so better plan to back up pizzas too."

"You didn't get the food upfront when your mom is in dragoness mode?" Dirk says "You're gonna need a chair and bullwhip"

"I've been a little busy," she glares at him defensively.

"And back off what you say about my mom,"

"Colton lasts THAT long in bed?" Lola observes "Nice"

A look at Lola that equates to girl, you don't KNOW.

Dirk looks tempted to take the challenge up

but Lucia says "Come on, I'll go with you. She always knows my rents can pay whatever we take up back" And she takes Sylvi's arm "And she likes me"

Sylvi turns to go with Lucia (easily evading Dirk's look). "Back soon!" she promises over her shoulder.

And the Goldfinch logo twitters to the tune of 'I put a spell on you' to send them off
