"Are you kidding me?" Dirk grrumbles "AGAIN?"

Basil, Zane and Piper's cousin , kind of has to agree "Seriously, it 'looks fine THIS time too"

"So what? I'm having fun," she insists.

Basil looks dubious "This is your idea of fun? "

A pause. "It's a kind of fun." Firm nod.

Dirk shakes his head "Okay, but if that couch moves in the next ten minues, I'm biting it"

A sigh. "Fine, fine...." She stops and just...stands there, looking around. A bit of a fidget.

"Girl, you need to relax. This about Piper?" Basil says smoothly "She's a survivor"

"Oh, I'm sure she is," Sylvi says. But whether the relationship survives is the real question. "You haven't heard from her, though?"

"Not yet" Basil admits "But I check on Jonas now and then. He's down, but apparently she's texted back"

"Well, that's a step in the right direction, anyway. Does he know where she is?"

"Not surre" He admits

"Hmph."

She looks to Dirk. "Don't suppose you heard anything?"

"Huh.. guess I owe you an apology, holder" Dirk shrugs flopping on the coach.. "I thought it was all about 'boohhoo what if the elves don't like my make up'"

A frown. "It's not my make up, it's high-end designer cosmetics, and it cost a bundle. If they don't like it, that's their problem."

"Darn straight" Dirk says "But ain't your workinng on it part of the package?"

"But..." she admits as she also claims a chair "...it's be nice if it fetched a good price for that auction. Nadeen's trying to do a good thing."

"Well, yeah. Don't know how many sidhe watch my stuff, though. They...they might not know who I am," she admits uncomfortably.

"So it IS bugging you" Dirk grins "Apology rear ended"

She flips a finger at him.

"The word is rescinded" Basil corrects him and he looks at Sylvi "Sylvi, Sidhe have that edge in beauty but they also like the top of the line. They'll like your gift"

"Well, donation, not gift" he corrects

"Thank you, Basil." A bit primly.

"I should be doing some more horror makeup videos. Those always go over well. You were a hit last year, Dirk."

"Well, if it's really scaring folks" Dirk says dubiously

She nods. "You didn't see the comment section? They were grossed-out."

Basil volunteers "If it'll make you feel better, you can make me a zombie? Maybe a classy one?"

A grin. "A dearly-decrepit-departed. I can do that." She looks at Basil, but he would get the distinct impression she's looking at him not as a person but as an arrangement of surfaces and contours.

"Could probably do some trompe l'oielle stuff, too."

"Tromping?" The cap asks

That's when a TXT comes in from Siv TXT: guess who has a make up job bought and paid for, and whose donation was a hit?

"Yeah, it's..." She's about to explain when she pauses to look at the text.

"Oh! Oh, hey...it's Siv...it got auctioned!"

She texts: Cool! Who's the winner?

TXT How much is it worth you to know?

TXT ...what do you want?

TXT : Eat a gallon of ice cream with me while I sulk later? I'm actually happy here but won't last and I hate to eat a tub off ice cream alone

She realizes a little too late that that question is a landmine.

TXT: Totally. Easy deal. Glad you're happy right now, though!

She narrates to the others, "Siv's still in mope-mode, so I'm guessing Piper's still away."

"Ahhh" Both guys nod in sync

Another text to Siv: When will you be home? And what flavor ice cream?

TXT: Yeah, Got to see friends I hadn't in a bit. Probably tomorrow, annytime you like ? Is a triple fudge okay? oOH, riggght.. .who g got i...you'll love this. Bluebell hungered for that prize with a passion.. HINTED to Julius , who missed the point SO badly...

TXT: Julius is a nitwit, then.

TXT: But when she got huffy, he caught on and and realized he better get that make up! Well, a few early bids, but it came down to Sydney (You don't know them) Julius... annd Nadeen herself, who I think may have bid just to teach Julius to earn it.. and he fought his ownn LIEGE for it! Nadeen approved , of course, and Bluebell is happy

TXT: Oh, yay! Bluebell's great. I'm going to enjoy working with her. I was kind of afraid I might have to do up a Leanhaun or Balor or something....

TXT: None openly displaying their house but there's always a chance. But nope, you got Bluebell. It was very romantic.
