"Lucia says If I put my head against yours at times like this, I can hear the gears" A smile

She makes a face. "Ha."

"I might have an idea, but I'm not sure. Of course, it depends on her coming back first, or at least being willing to talk, wherever she is."

"What if she doesn't? I mean, you're the freeholder but she's been like your right arm"

She lets out a heavy breath. "Yeah, that's going to be a thing. I mean, she's the brains behind the whole studio part of this. I don't know half of how it's organized. I mean...hell, I don't know how to work half the equipment. I don't even play an instrument!"

"She's gotta come back."

Her brow furrows. "And...I guess she and I both need to choose, like, deputies. Y'know, somebody who knows what's what to fill in temporarily when we can't do the job. "

"Does she not KNOW how important she is?" A frown

A pause. "It's a lot of pressure, to be important. To know that other people are counting on you. And...well, y'know..." she points to herself. "Troll. It's what we're supposed to do. But satyrs tend to like to be more...impromptu? At least, from what I've seen."

"Damn I thoughtt the satyrs had a big innfluence herre"

"You mean, like the Professor?"

"I meant like the apartments had like at least four satyrs that trhow parties on and off here . Four may not seem like much but there' TWO boggans so hey they're doing fine"

She grins. "See, this is part of the thing about being raised in the Lodge. I still kind of see things through Lodge filter, a bit. Or maybe I just haven't been going to enough parties lately."

"You've been busy between this and School"

A sigh. "You're not wrong. I mean, thank goodness I got most of my credits out of the way early, here and at the Farm. I've only got two classes, plus cheerleading."

"I've got to do the college application essay for English this week," she says with a roll of her eyes.

"Which College are you hoping to get into?"

She shakes her head. "It doesn't really matter. I'll go somewhere, but it's not my priority."

"Well, hopefully close."

"Oh, totally! Probably the community college, or some distance-learning thing. You know...for a while I was thinking of majoring in theater. But I realized that there's probably a different option. How does public relations sound as a major?"

"You'd be good at it" She nods

"And, I mean, it's kind of what I already do. I mean, I guess, I could pursue a career in diplomacy or something, but I think that would be too big of a conflict with...all this." She gestures at the studio, the freehold below, and fae life in general.

"huh. I wonder if Mr. Thomas would have tips? He's in marketing"

She blinks. "Oh! You know, you're right! I should talk with him! I might even be able to get an internship with him!"

"Thank you!"

"You're welcome" She smiles

Sylvi's smile is bright for another moment more. But then it fades. "But the priority right now is Piper, and Siv, and Jonas." She sighs.

"Not sure I can help there... I'm not really close to them that way. Though I tthink each is pretty cool"

"They are. Each in a different way."

"I DO hate to see love break up" A sigh

A frown. "That is NOT what's going to happen. Not if I have any say. But...Ramona, how many people have you told about what you heard?"

"Uhm..." A blush

Wide eyes. "Ramona!"

"I'm a boggan, gossip is wha we DO... so I told Lucita... because she's another boggan..." Squriming "But after awhile I couldn't help it so I talked to Basil, because, well, he's cute. And Eden... "

A wince. "You know...you haven't exactly helped Piper and Siv and Jonas that way. I think they kind of needed you to keep that to yourself."

A wince "I'm just.. . I'm a boggan"

"I know." A sigh. "Sorry, I'm just feeling kind of protective."

"You're a troll" She sighs "Okay I think repay all debts means that if I can make amends to them by onen of your planns I better kock myself out"

A wry grin. "I'd really, really appreciate that. I'd love to be able to ask you to stop the rumors from spreading, if I could, but...it sounds like we're way past that stage."

"Well, what I can do is throw other rumors into the gossip chain to distract? Flood the market , so to speak"

A blink. "That's...that's brilliant."

"We do it mroe often than you think..." She blushes "It's why the sluagh grouse that we're 'unreliable' instead of just admitinng they're as prone to getting sucked in as anyone else"

"Ha! Okay, that's a trick to remember!"

"Thanks"

Sylvi sighs and glances at her phone. "Sorry. I just wish Piper would text me back."

"Mm you know, until she does. . I better get to work on that rumor mill. You okay if I start now?"
