without any more trouble, the hold is easy to enter, though Phobos wisely drops the veil once they are in "WE GOT WOUNDED!" He declares in his usual gentle way

"Mm. We don't discriminate." she is heading to Fontaine's grotto.

"Well, yeah I guess seeing as you're positively nordic" HE follows

Fontaine greets them, "There's someone injured? " He sees "Oh dear yes, lay him in the waters, please"

When the piskie is submerged, Fontaine sets his own magic to aid the healing waters, and the stranger gasps and looks about in a panic "Danica, waterboarding is WRONG!"

"Easy. You're not being harmed, you're being healed." Jess assures him "You're safe."

"Oh!" He looks up, "Sorry, saw you and for a moment thought you were someone else. Am I still in Tijuana?"

Phobos snorts "Yeah. This is COUNTESS JESSICA FREE FLAME. But she prefers just freeflame or boss"

"Oh, sorry your ..excellency? " The piskie tries to stand up right

"Jess is fine, please don't get up." she insists "Yes, you're still in Tijuana. Renaissance County, this is Fenix Freehold."

"Oh" he says "Thanks Jess. I'm Madern."

"Hello Madern. I think you might have been mugged."

"Oh I am almost sure I was" He says "Sorry, this case has gone south in more ways than one"

"As far as I know, I am the world's only food truck detective" He says "Probably should stick to cooking."

"Food?" Phobos licks his lips

"Food... truck.... ok. How're you feeling?" she glances at Fontaine to get his read on the healing process.

"Oh yeah" he nods "I was taught by the best chef in the Duchy of the Golden Sigil. Mind you, I'm still not near HER level but I get by. I also solve crimes. Or try to. I get hired now and then. "Ok, look... why don't you come out, dry off, we can get you something to eat and drink and something to wear and ... maybe we can figure out what's going on?"

"Oh I can cook my own meal if you'll let me at your kitchen. Least i could do for you guys probably saving my life" He rises up and steps out, rather nimble but then he is a piskie

"Mmm... I think if I let you at your kitchen, you won't be cooking your own meal." she predicts "And if you don't mind changing clothes, you'll help keep the place dry."

"Oh, uhm sorry" He says

Fontaine sighs "She INSISTS on Pants"

"I tend to agree with the rule" Madern announces

Phobos snorts, goes out, and returns with dry clothes which he throws at hte piskie

Jess will intercept them so the piskie doesn't drip on them and set them aside to stay dry. "Go ahead and get cleaned up, I'll get some food and drink going, and we'll get things sorted."

"Thank you again, Jess" He says "I won't be long"

She nods and steps out, asking the closest unoccupied person to send word to the kitchens.

"Let's go see about that. We can talk over the meal."

"Definitely some regional differences from the Mexican recipes I know" He observes "Smells wonderful." Madern sits with her and tries the food , and makes note of the ingredients

Jess picks at her meal. "When you're ready, tell us what happened, please. With details."

"Okay. Some things are confidential between me and my client" Madern says "But as I said, there was a client in my area...
