"Darn Clurichauns vansih so easy they may have to strike fast"

"Most of us have some kind of weakness.... I hate to ask but is there something we can use there?"

"If we can find the clurichaun's collection, they do focus on that. Or find out WHAT this one collects"

"Could he have been in that shop because there's something in there he collects? Candy, hats, shirts?" she sounds dubious.

"mmm, That's... a good question. You don't think the Clurichaun is also a sports fan? The man might have souvineers"

"I mean, that's a better option than him collecting human cremains...." she say with a face.

"Ugh" face shared

"Yeah. So... maybe? We probably shouldn't ask the shopkeeper himself, though. I mean, what the Clurichaun was in there for."

"Maybe there have been reports elsewhere? A common thread?"

"I hadn't heard of any Ravaging so close to the hold before, though it does happen in the city now and then, it's normally on the edges or areas where no holds are"

"Well, if it's the best lead we've got let's do some digging. Reports would be at Fenix, right?"

"No doubt Constance would have any records"

"Ok, well... Phobos was supposed to take over for you, Diego. You want to walk be back and I'll pick up someone at Fenix until he's off recon?"

"My pleasure" he says

"Thanks." She nods to Coy "Good work today. I'll see you back there."

"Be careful"

"I will." And if there's nothing else, she and Diego head back to Fenix.

And the two go back to Fenix. Things are lively there. Word has gotten out about a ravaging.

Nancy greets them, "Heard about it. Sir Jack is livid."

"I'm willing to turn him loose as long as he captures the Ravager, not kills him." Jess repeats. "I need to find Constance, is she in the library?"

"She is" A nod "I'm going to see if I can get Father V to help the victim"

"Good idea." and Jess heads for the library.

With Diego. "Drop me off with Constance?"

Diego nods and does so

Constance is writing rapidly at her desk, she looks up, "Baroness"

"I'm ok with my name, Constance." she reminds her.

"I'm more formal than my husband. DeBukes just hate saying titles that aren't troll related" SHe says "But as you prefer, Jessica. I'll get the hang of it one day"

"Thanks. Listen, do you have reports of ravaging and ravagers around? You heard about what happened?"

"Hard not to hear of it. I've been collecting the data as it comes in"

"Thanks. I want to find out if this guy and any other reports have anything in common. The shopkeeper sold candy, hats, tee-shirts... like, tourist stuff. Which, in this town...."

"Is not atypical" She nods and presents some papers "There are not many ravagings in this city given its size, though obviously each dreamer abused is a crisis. This doesn't seem to match the usual dreamers in danger. Artists and street peformers for example"

"Anything about football?"

She looks over "Nothing that sticks out, but my data maybe incomplete and need more research"

"How fast? Do you need help?"

"How fast?" She blinks "Do you mean how quickly can I get the research done? Days"

"If you had more help?"

"Flex and Spex aid me there. " She says "And, of course, a certain book loving childling helps as much as she can"

"Still days?"

"Jessica, real research and coordination takes time, but if I use dross for quick silver often and other magical cheats, it would still take time. Now I MIGHT get lucky. Find just what we're hoping to find"

"Well. I mean, I haven't got anything useful to do anyway, so I might as well stay here with you till Phobos gets back? And I'd like to help. We have dross."

"Phobos won't be gone long, but... Jessica, how versed are you in this sort of research?"

"I can read!" she insists "Why don't you get Flex and Spex to start and show me how it's done?"

She hands some books over. "We'll see what comes up."

Jess nods and starts scanning the books front to back.

She helps, quick silver flashing over, but nothing quite pieces together. right now, she eliminating paths which IS helpful to finding the right one, but frustratingly slow

At least she's -doing- something.
