"It's true" Constance says

"Then I guess we're aall in" Phobos says "RIGHT?" A glare to the others

OThers nod vigorously

"I mean it. If you can't do this, I respect that. I don't -want- to have to do this. If you want to walk away now, just keep the secret. If you decide later you need to withdraw, we'll figure it out."

Coy says "Some of us may not call you by a noble title, but all of us consider you our leader"

"Thank you. Are we all in?"

Everyone nods or says "Si!" or "Yes, Flamefree"

"Ok. Thank you. Thank you all very much." she says, humbled.

"Ok, so... let's take some time in here and figure out who's doing what, when. I'd like as little impact on operations as possible but I understanding asking a dozen or so of our more senior leaders in the county to babysit me is going to have an impact."

"Just tell folks you're doing work along reviews of each one of us" Coy suggests "It's a bit Bueracratic"

Jess considers it. "I mean... I might not put it that way but I like the basic idea."

Constance says "We have done similar things in the past"

"And... I mean, maybe we can make a show of addressing that Town Hall thing, from the note, right?"

"Fewer guards on it more reps?" Phobos says

"Well, I think we'd have to take a good look at that, you know? We want to follow instructions, but do it well." Jess muses.

"And make sure it doesn't do damage we cannot undo" Constance nods

Jess nods. "Right. So maybe this ... work review is gear towards the Town Halls, at least as far as anyone can see?"

"Sounds good. " Coy ponders "Want me to invite a non hold affiliated with DeBuke Farm to go to them with options for food trade? Might look like you're allowing more interaction without training wheels?"

"A non... non hold affiliated... with the DeBukes? I don't understand."

"I mean Fenix wouldn't be involved, pardon"

"Fenix wouldn't be involved, but another Hold in the County would ... what? With who?"

"The Town Council would be.. no other hold in the County"

He says "I'm sorry, I'm not sure what I'm saying wrong here"

"He means the DeBukes might talk to the Council on how they could trade with the PEOPLE of the County without noble supervision I think" Constance says "Does that make more sense?"

"Oh! Yes, that makes sense. Thanks. Sure, that sounds like a good way to start things."

"And should be a sign to fool the enemy whoever THEY are" Coy nods "it will look like they are being complied with"

"Well, thing is, I'm not -opposed- to improving the Town Hall system. In fact, I'd like to make it better. Just... not under threat."

"You show your throat once they'll never take the boot off it" Phobos nods

"That's one way to put it."

"Looks like we have a start" Constance says

"Yes." she takes a breath "Ok. Everyone organize yourselves. I don't have to know who's babysitting me; might be best if I don't know beforehand, you know? But for now, um, I'd really love to go on patrol or for a run or something."

"Sounds like I'm up, " Coy says "We can go over patrol routes while we do it"

And off they go, Jessica glad to get moving!
