"It is possible," Brekke says. "Or they might have assumed that Jessica would know it."

Frank grunts, thinking. "Well. I should say it -was- her favorite; her tastes might have changed. I don't know."

Jess shrugs; she doesn't either. "Still... that does tend to mean it might be for you."

"Or that the kidnappers might misunderstand your relationship with her, Jessica. Either way...goblin parchment, so even somebody with Chronos could not track its source...ah! but perhaps the source of the flower?"

Frank nods. "Want to give it a try?"

"Is there anybody with such arts here?"

Jess nods "Let me make a phone call." and she does, although she is circumspect in her language, not surprisingly.

Mitra shows up after the call shortly, as a sidhe, the Latina looks glorious, of course. And she has seen both Kings before. She inclines her head, then bows to Jessica

"Hey, thanks for coming." Jess is not entirely comfortable with such formality from a friend but Sidhe gonna Sidhe.

A grateful nod to the sidhe.

"You're welcome, Jessica. " A smile then she looks at Brekke "Your daughter is my friend as well as my liege. She's good at both roles but far mroe comfortable with the former despite her skill. Honor to meet you again, Baroness, and you too, Sir. I understand I'm needed for Chronos?"

A hint of a grin at Mitra's praise for Jessica, then a nod. "Something has occurred, and we must determine who is at fault." She looks to Jessica for next steps.

"Yeah, um... Keep this to yourself, ok, but my mortal mom's missing and I got a note that said she'd been taken by Fae. Kidnapped, basically. They have demands; nothing too bad yet but I don't like the precedent. Can you figure out who might have left this flower?" she indicates.

"I can surely try, and don't worry, as prying as my house is, we thrive on KEEPING secrets as well" SHe takes the flower and twirls it 'Tuxedo Mask, now here's a task, fit for Sailor Moon's delight. Last Episode was missed, so a recap is required, to explain the heroine's plight"

Jess copies everything down, watching Mitra carefully.

"That's all I managed to get" She says still looking a bit woozy

"C'mon...." Jess offers her support and passes Frank her notes "I'll get her settled and come back." and takes Mitra to the 'Fire.

"I"ll be fine"

"I know."

A whisper "I don't want to look weak in front of the G-W-Y-D-I-O-N"

But she does get helped

"Yeah, I know the feeling...." at least Jess doesn't pick her up and carry her.

She takes a sit

Jess makes sure someone is around to bring her food and drink and generally keep an eye on her till she's fit to travel. She also directs that SOMEONE will escort her back to the Pit when she's ready.

A thane nods and attends

"Thank you, Mitra, thank you... a lot. I owe you. I gotta go, you take it easy here. That's an order." and she hustles back to her folks.

Mitra mutters 'Sure, NOW she gives orders"

The Thane fights a smile

Brekke looks eagerly to Jessica. "Yes?"

"Where do we start?"

"Ok.... look, sit down." Jess invites distractedly, and takes her notes from Frank to look them over. "Slaugh... that's hard. They're not... prevalent here and overtures haven't worked very well. The phone was in California, mom's area code. That's still a lot of phones, though. 'Cal-bel'... mean anything to anyone?"

Brekke frowns and thinks quietly, seeking through her memory.

Eventually she shakes her head. "I am sorry, no." She looks to Frank.

Frank shakes his head as well after a long period of thought. "No."

From the hall "Cal could be short for California"

"I'm sorry, Freeholder, she got away from me" The thane calls out

"i'm still near the fire" The Eiluend protests

"I thought that as well," Brekke says to Jessica. "But Cal-bel? No."

"They used to call phone companies "Ma Bell" but I don't think that makes sense...."

"Anyway, the note was pretty specific about changing things -here,- at least at first." Jess finishes.

"Is that the nickname for a California telephone company?" Brekke asks Frank.

"Perhaps it would be wise to appear to follow instructions here while your father and I try to hunt them down there."

Frank shakes his head. "When I was growing up, maybe. Now? No." in answer to Brekke's question.

Jess nods agreement "Yeah, sure. These first instructions, that's not hard."

Brekke nods. "Do we know where in California?"

"San Diego." Jess answers "They moved, but not away; just a different house."

Brekke's brow furrows briefly. "Jessica, if you get the chance, demand to hear her speak to you. If they will not comply, it is possible they are holding her somewhere else completely."

"I will, but ...."
