A troll observes "I did see something that looked like that. It was CRAWLING on the ledge over there, but that was hours ago. Might be the same one you slew"

A sluagh girl whispers "I like bugs, but not those bugs"

3 impressions like that is enough; she moves purposefully back to Fenix to share the intell and think out options.

She can see Holger and Brogan playing with Holger's new dog, well, like little boys

Sir Jack listens to the intell "Father V has been told. So has the Pitt. Sounds like there might be more than one out there ,or the one you took down REALLY got around. Either way, they're looking for this 'chosen one' with a vengeance"

Coy nods "Seems to fit"

"Crap." Jess, who is rarely given to salty language, is just a touch salty. "Ok. This changes things."

"Easy, boss" Phobos says, looking sapped but.. he's upright! "If they were out in the open en masse you'd have encountered one yourself. Sorry for my goofing off"

Coy looks over "Good to see you up and around again, Phobos"

"Yeah, yeah" He says "Demos told me what happened at the meeting. Uhm Boss, I fought that guy without either of you for a bit. It rambled a lot. Would it help if I told you anything I can remember?"

"Phobos, you're on home guard for a while." firmly but not unkindly "I need you here to defend Fenix if it all goes... pear-shaped."

"And yes, please tell us everything you remember."

"mmph" he looks ready to argue, but as she points out Fenix needs protecting, he lets it go. Then answers "It was kind of a blur. Son of a bitch showed up, and said 'Are you a protector of Renaissance?" And I say "Fuck yes i am. Who wants to know?" and then the bastard attacked me. During the fight more insults were traded. I hear him saying something about 'where is the chosen one? The one who would work against the swarm when she should be on our side'? And I'm like the what the what fuck? " The redcap thinks it over "Something about how 'dreams of stings' will come in the 'long day season' and 'she would not stop them'"

"Long Days? Summer" Jack says "or so I would figure. The Swarm comes in the summer"

"So did we, but there are signs they are already here."

"Scouts I think" Phobos shrugs "But even a few are a problem."

"Agreed." She exhales in frustration "If we knew more, I could place us better. But we don't so.... I want tight patrols, seek and capture, and if that can't happen, destroy."

Nods all around

Tito Woden comes in

"been doing casting and consulting.. is.. is this a bad time?"

"Not yet." Jess says a bit glumly.

Tito Woden mulls that over, then says "I'm going to assume that you mean it is 'not yet a bad time' and not 'don't talk to me yet' . I think the Chosen one is to be found in Skyhook, the Albedo Barony"

"Tweak's area?" Phobos says "Not what i expected but sure"

"-Skyhook-?" checking she heard right.

"Or close to it, at least in her barony" Tito Woden nods

"Let's go." Jess heads to Skyhook.

And they head that way

She and her retinue are greeted by Skyhook staff who escort them through the many halls of Skyhook to get to Tweak's workshop. The young nocker who escorts them nervously says, "Did Mama Capataz know you were coming? I mean...sorry, but, um, she usually warns us when there's gonna be high mucky-mucks...um...nobility here."

Tito Woden, troll and Seer ,but young for the job, smiles "Tell her it's Bluetooth then?" A look to Jessica "And her Seer. or .. Symond's boyfriend if that registers better?"

"Look, just tell Tweak that Jessica is here and we might all die and I need to talk to her. Before that."

"I ain't dying" Demos snorts "Because I'm not a wimp"

She blinks, her eyes large behind her multi-lensed glasses as she mutters, "Well...shit." She clears her throat and says, "Wait here just a moment," when they reach something like a lobby area, and then she hauls ass down the hall to Tweak's office.

A few minutes later, a jingle of keys and a whiff of cigar smoke is a harbinger of Tweak's arrival. She stomps down the hall, smirking as she sees Jessica. "Th' fuck, Blue? You too good to call ahead?"

Sir Jack smiles, the Liam street knight saying "Our liege is just looking out for the County as always, Mama Capataz"

Tweak gives a more serious sneer. "Gotta be somepin' serious shitty if you rushing over here. Spill it."

Jess downloads fast to Tweak; the basics.... " ..... so it's a county-wide alert."

She processes a moment, then says, "Well, it ain't happenin' til summer, right? Nice of them to call ahead," she points out.

"We think... but can't be sure."

"One nearly killed my brother" Demos admits "And you KNOW the last time he died he went respectable . If he dies again, he'll probably be Seelie for fuck's sake so they ARE Kind of dangerous"

Tito Woden says "We believe YOUR Barony holds the 'Chosen one' that they wish would be on their side, but will instead be their doom. It's rather exciting, no?"

"Can't have that goin' on," she mutters to Demos, and then scratches one of her ears as she considers Tito Woden's words. "Meanin' we got somebody cookin' up a weapon that'll do 'em in, I'm guessin. You said a swarm?"

Demos describes the ugly fucker in even more detail than Jessica did, scorpion stingers and bug face,. then says "So if there's like a swarm, we're talking dozens? Or more? "

"Well, when I be thinkin' swarm, I thinkin' thousands."

"Or more."

Tweak nods agreement.

"Huh, that's a lot to eat" Demos observes

"Hang on..." Tweak suddenly gets that look that makes you think she's seeing schematics or diagrams floating in the air before her eyes. "Huh. That ain't good."
