"How soon could we manage it? Assuming the other Freeholds chip in somehow, or we split things up?"

"Well, we just depleted our food supplies and I was counting on a gradual build up. So we might need help and I mean not just from the County's other holds. "

"I don't want to go back to the DeBukes or Rivervale." she frowns, thinking "Do you think the local Nunnehi might pitch in?" dubious.

"I could ask Otem but I imagine they don't have enough" He says "Why are we not asking from help from our traditional allies?"

"Because they already emptied their larders for us?"

"Fair point" He says then considers "I.. might know a guy who knows a guy"

She sighs. "Please don't take this wrong but I already don't love how this sounds. I'm still listening, though."

"Well, when I led the rebels, we had to get food at times. And I had contacts who sometimes would stumble upon say a grocery company that had excess, or a party for some rich ass who needed to lose weight anyway"

"A lot of things can fall off a truck, Jessica"

She's quiet a long time. "Can you ask the other freehold stewards first? See what they might have to contribute?"

"Of course" He says "I just think we'll need a bit more than that if you want this festival within a week and a half"

"What about two weeks? Give us a chance to get everything settled, find places for the refuges?" hopefully.

"Be easier on the supplies, still no guarantee" he says "But better"

"Ok, let's plan for two weeks and.... let's brainstorm about how to plus it up?"

An amused look, "You know, I've never seen you fight so hard for a party that wasn't a mandatory holiday before. "

She shrugs. "We deserve it."

"We do" He agrees "I just think it's nice you get to unwind"

She chuckles. "We'll see." dryly." OOC LAWD.

"I'll find the supplies we need, Jessica. No worries there"

She looks pained, discontent. "Thank you....."

A brow "jessica, the improbable we do every day, the impossible just takes a bit more. It's good. You haven't failed anyone or anything"

"I don't want to put more pressure on the people up North but I also don't want to do anything... shady."

"Mmm what if I promise only bad people will be inconvenienced?"

A shrug. "I guess." Her Gwydion upbringing might be showing; she's never been ok with shady stuff.

"I'll see what I can do to make it all above table then. It's not going to be fun for you if you feel bad everytime you look at the decorations and food"

A deep breath. "Look... I know most of the Fae in the County won't care, really, as long as there's a party and an outlet and some fun, which they have -more- than earned. So.... set it up for two weeks from now. Ok?"

"I will and I will keep to what I said and see if I can get it all legal and upright. I'm not mocking you, Jessica. I'm your friend, and friends want their friends to enjoy things too."

"I know. Do what you need to for the people of the County in this."

"I shall" he says "How is everyone else doing? "

"Well... the sense I have is that folks are exhausted, mostly. But... we're mostly ok. Some dings and damage but.... Ok."

"Good then. The people are strong. " A bit proud

"We are." she agrees.

"mm any other events for this festival? Games as well as food and music?"

"Yes! Everything; games, music, food, drink, dance.... everything else."

"Stuff for adults and childlings both" A nod and he taps his head as if memorizing it

"I don't care if it's simple and easy.... just.. something collective and family?"

"Family. I'll Make a note to invite your sister. " He nods straight faced

Her face freezes "I meant our Renaissance family."

She shrugs. "You're responsible for the guests."

"I knew who you meant" A smile "I'll make sure Otem is on the list as well as our Nunnehi friends"

"Ok, thanks."

"mmm and native cuisine should be included" Mental note

"No matter who attends."

"Agreed. Besides, they've got some tastey options' he says "I know just the wine to go with it too" He rises "I best get to work"

A pat on her shoulder as a friend "Jessica, I like this idea. We're going to make it happen" And off he goes
