"Will you tell me what happened?"

"Blasted ship, 'Jenerva's Fire' barged through the areaa so fast it dinged my ship, ruined my net, and damaged my motor. They didn't even stop. "

She glances at Tidemarch.

Tidemarch says "Did you see any noble house colors?"

"There was a lot of red, though I don't know if that means fiona or not. A giggling trio of sidhe ladies were wearing bikinis.." A blush "Normally that's hard to ignore, but my focus was on not getting run over"

Jessica considers what she knows of her northern neighbors; Houses with red up there?

Fiona is big in Pacifica... dougal is rarer, having some red.

Balor is not out of the question, but the least likely, too. Fiona, probably..... she frowns in thought.

The baron considers "Fiona IS most likely" Echoing her thoughts

"Thank you, Mr. Santos. What do you need to repair the damage?"

Santos looks over the engine "I need to see what a mechanic says but it looks like the casing is shot.. If the wiring is too it's lost. "

"I will cover the cost of a new engine for you" The Baron says

"My lord?" Surprised, Santos bows "Gracious"

"Thank you, Baron." sincerely.

"You were right, your excellency, in that it is not a problem we can ignore entirely. This is but a small way to help offset it. Mr. Santos, see my treasurer some time in the next two days today if you like, I'll tell him to expect you. Arrangements will be easy"

"Did you see which was the other vessel was going?" she asks the boggan.

He shakes his head "Geniunely south, but other than that, not much"

Jess thinks about it, turns to the Baron. "Why do you think they're coming here? Joy rides? Or are they -going- somewhere?"

"I had thought it joy rides" He says

"What if it isn't?" she turns back to the boggan "You've encountered this kind of thing before? Or you know others who have?"

"Si" Santos says "There have always been spoiled yankees who 'joy ride' as you say but it's been getting worse since before Beltaine even, the last month or two. I know at least three people who have been nearly capsized"

Another look at the Baron. "Any correlation or event you can think of that would match the uptick?"

"Not in this area that I know of, and I don't know outside of this city well enough to speculate" the baron frowns

Santos coughs "Pardon, Your lordship, Countess?"

"Yes?"

"Well, I am a boggan, and if you wish, I could ask around, check the grapevine, many of us have relations in El norte after all"

"I'll defer that decision to the Baron."

"Boggans are a trustworthy kith," he does not point out far more trustworthy than the wretched sluagh "And have their ways. If you would put that in motion, Senor Santos, we would be grateful. Do not endanger your kin per se, but if it is no threeat to them, please see what they know"

She nods agreement.

"Ah, I doubt it would be risky. Gossip is an old art and the grapevine is our domain" Santos says "Besides, it may help all Renaissance, no? We are all neighbors here"

"I appreciate the effort, Senior."

"It is nothing" the boggan fusses, "I just hope we can find out more about these vandals. I am glad to see the nobles are looking into it"

At THAT, the Baron gives a slight nod to the Countess, as if yielding up a point "credit must go to the Countess for pressing the issue so it is NOT ignored"

"And to the Baron, for doing the work of it." she shares.

"Then I can do no less than my part"

Santos declares

"Ok. Thank you." she nods and looks to the Baron, ready to go.

The baron nods "Indeed. Be well, Mr. Santos" And the nobles depart with the boggan bowing after them.

Once they are out of earshot, the Baron says "Let's hope the gossip chain reveals the main culprits behind these joy ride intrusions"

"If they are joy rides."

"True, it maybe something masked as such" He nods, "I did not think it likely but... in the world of dreams, there is always a chance"

"What if they are not, but journeys with a purpose disguised as 'harmless' joy rides."

"A cover for espionage?"

"Heading south...." she muses "What's to the south?"

"More water" He says "I do not mean that cheekily"

"Ensenada and the rest of the peninsula..... and on the other side of it, the other side of the Gulf. Sinaloa." she lifts an eyebrow.

"By boat? Yes, one could travel that far I suppose and pull up to shore but...I felt these incursions were more 'in and out'. Quicker than that?"

"Feigning?"

"Possible" He admits "I think the need for a privater is more urgent than I first believed. "

"Hire more than one, if you need to."
