"Wait, is there sluagh involved?"

She pauses "Regarding the sluagh bit? I don't think so. not that I know of. I mean, Symon's at college. Lily is a sweetie, in a creepy way.. We don't have that many sluagh at Rivervale." She ponders "ANd not Da vs Vali so much as Vali drowning and Da giving him the bird is how Tiffany tells it, but she's a pooka so ... who knows. That's before the word pIllar was used. I get Da doesn't want to be the Mountain, but no one is asking him to be. It's like me helping Kerri with a bowl of soup doesn't make me a Hearth. But.. I don't know. Honestly, I don't care so much about Vali's problems as Da being not hisself. Could it be some kind of MId grump crisis?"

"Maybe."

"I think it's a lack of confidence. Hopefully with Samhain over he'll have a resent button. I know he thinks I don't listen to him, but I DO. I don't always agree, but that's not the same thing. I need my father in my life as a guidde even if sometimes I'm going to jump off the cliff he warned me about"

"How does he see that?"

"He showed me how to repair a car, and that was great... then I asked him his views and.. he clammed up ." she says

"It's not just that" She admits "It's.. I don't know." Siv sighs "I'm selfish I guess."

Jess shrugs. "This is a difficult time of year."

"Some of this predates October, least I think it does"

"But.. maybe that's mostly it" She looks troubled

"Maybe see how it goes?"

A long look "Exactly how many months should I wait before I'm alloud to get worried?"

"Not my call, Siv."

"I think a full month plus is reason to worry, but we'll see how it goes. " A sigh "Sorry to come here and dump on you. I just.. you know how mom is. this time of year."

"I do." and she does.

"Fortunately Goldfinch has been taking over Samhain it seems " A smile "Means mom and Da get to hole up without guilt. I like that little hold"

"Well.... good."

"Piper aand Jonas are wonderful, thank you for aasking" A wink as she tries to rally "How are folks here?"

"Good."

"You're like mom, give me too many details to take in all at once" Deadpan

then a smile slips "I'm glad your people are doing well. I know that is your greatest hope, that they prosper in peace"

"Thank you."

"Yup, feeling more seelie already" A sigh "Duty over passion. Bah. Oh, hey, you and Nancy? On the mend?"

"Sure."

"I'm glad. She values your friendship." A nod "And she's got talents."

"Yes."

"Nunnehi peace going well?" Hopeful

"Yes, actually, it's ... doing well."

"Tell me a little about it, if you can without breaking a trust?"

Siv is not offended, and holds up an understaNding hand "Say no more. Too important to risk for my sake"
