"mmm sounds it's getting riled"

"I'll head over. Maybe just being there will settle things. Keep an eye on the combat." And she heads to the crafting tent.

"Will do" She says

And Jessica comes into one of the crafting sales tents. A nunnehi woman, flayed and withered, is yelling at both a nocker AND Boggan, leaving the two confused. She's pointing towards their wares. The nocker's stuff is more high tech, collasable kitchen shelves, and fold out spice racks. The boggan seems to be selling aprons, and table clothes of vibrant colors

The language is not spanish but rather indigenius

Jess positions herself so she can be seen by those involved.

"Lady, I don't speak your crazy moonlanguage" The Nocker says

"She's very upset" The boggan says "But I don't know why, it can't be MY work"

Jess observes.

"Well it sure as furk ain't mine" The Nocker said

Jessica notices it's not all their gear, just specific things.

She realizes there are Native designs on the objects that are upsetting the Nunnehi. Or at least recreations of those designs. Some seem fine, others seem to offend! Greatly

She clears her throat.

All three turn, the Flayed woman points at things and speaks in that tongue, Jessica IS trying to learn some from Fawn and Otem but this is a blur to her

The nocker says "Countess? HELP, this furking nutjob is screaming at us and I haven't even sold anything"

"She's upset about the use of native designs on some of the work." Jessica observes, and approaches closer, giving the woman a respectful nod. "I will pay for the items, but we will give them to her to do as she wishes with them. You may have inadvertently broken a taboo and caused offence."

She goes to the table with the items on them and beckons the woman over. Jess hovers a hand over one of the offending items and looks at the woman.

The boggan says "Offense? This is public domain, your Excellency"

"They are our guests here."

Some muttering from the crafters, but they get her the reciept

Jess continues to indicate (without touching) one of the items and watching the flayed woman with respect.

The woman is confused, but when things are offered to her, that she touches or points at, she starts to understand. Then a look to Jessica and a headbob of respect.

Jessica returns it, and lets the woman pick up the things herself. She has someone get a bag or other way of carrying the items.

Costly, the woamn ends up pulling a small cart about the size of a kid's little red waggon with stuff piled on it

"What if she takes it out to be destroyed?" The boggan says "That.. .that's our pride"

"No, it's hers and her peoples. The designs you used are obviously a problem for her. Please don't use them in the future. You're creative enough to find other patterns and symbols." Jess says gently "I'll try to find out what the exact issue was, but I don't speak her language."

"I'm going to lodge a complaint with the next Town Council" The boggan scowls "No one has the right to tell me how to craft"

The Nocker pats the boggan on the shoulder "If there's nothing else, your Excellency?" More than a bit coldly

Oh joy, she's united a boggan and a nocker.. just not how she wanted

"Please see Diego the satyr; he'll compensate you for your excellent crafts." knowing she touched some nerves "I like what I have seen of them; please consider a private showing at my invitation at Fenix for everyone there."

"Is that an ORDER? If not, no thank you regarding the showing" The boggan hums

"No, it was an invitation."

"Up to you if you accept it or not."

"Gracias, no" Oh the boggan is steamed

Jess nods, as much respect as she showed the flayed woman. She can always recommend the boggan (and nocker) to others, send business their way.

They seem to be giving her the silent treatment until she leaves. Hopefully they'll cool down later when they have a chance to consider other sides

She makes a mental note to ask Diego, when approached, to sweeten whatever the bill is; a gift, or something. She looks to the flayed woman, assuming she's still there?

She finds her.. throwing the items into a fire. Muttering in that language

The fire is a make shift bonfire for pennons events, and some kithain are backing up a bit freaked out

"It's ok. Let her work." Jess reassures people.

"Yes, Countess." One fellow says "Happy Pennons" A smile

"Happy Pennons." She smiles back, politely.

And others greet her warmly as well... that situation aside, most are having a fine time
