Jessica doesn't bring her captive into the freehold; she sets him down gently in the open atrium and crosses to knock on the freehold doors.

And out comes thane coy "Jessica?"

"Hi. Can you see if Otem is available? Johnny TwoFeathers too. And can you bring me some peanuts?"

"Right away" He says and moves fast

"The peanuts are for you." she tells the squirrel on her shoulder as she sets the two knives and the blow pipe on a bench away from the Nunnehi, who is at least in the shade.

The squireel nods

And out comes Otem and Johnny both

with a bag of peanuts

Jessica comes over. "Thanks." she offers her hand for the bag of peanuts, and then steps to the side so they can see what she brought home.

the squriel gives a happy chatter

and starts eating nuts

Otem frowns "Of a mainland tribe. "

"I thought so. The tip what when he attacked me." she is holding the bag up to the chimerical squirrel on her shoulder "Weapons are over there." she nods to the bench.

Johnny looks at the squirel "Good work"

The Squirel salutes him back

"Can you tell us anything else about him?"

Otem is looking him over "A jaguar touched one. "

"Ok." she nods "Do you think we could..." she thinks about it, exhales ".... influence him? Change his mind?"

"You mean brainwash him?" Johnny asks

"Show him who we are and what we want. That our peace is not a threat to him, or his."

"Oh. Chicanery might have worked better"

"He didn't really give me that chance."

"Although hey, that's a question. Can you tell what he was trying to stick me with?" the blowpipe and any darts she found are on the bench.

"Best to have it annoylzed by that nocker in the workshop,Symond?"

"Ok." she looks around for Coy.

Coy is back

"Could you ask Symond to come up here? I know it's not an easy ask but it's important."

"It may take a bit . She can get in there like a tick"

"I know. Give it your best shot, please."

And he's off

Symond, it turns out, IS availble and returns fast

"Anything else Otem?" as they wait.

"I believe he has a ... communication device in his ear"

Jess pales.

"There, that should furking burst every commuincator they got hooked up to their crap system.."

Otem looks like he wishes he had pearls to clutch

"Can you tell anything about it, Symond? History, who put it there, so on?"

"Oh sure." she says "Be a bit, but this is actualy drek materials"
