"How did it go?" Constance says, "I've checked every other cat. Only mine was bugged"

Jessica nods. "It went well, I think. Can you contact Sir Jack and ask him to come on a matter of urgency?"

"Right away" She says and moves to do so

She sits down and writes to the Duke, describing the situation and asking him to send help with the utmost urgency. Not for herself, but for Ellie and the childlings and the peace of Renaissance. Of course, she bows to his will in the matter but respectfully suggests, if available, a friendly ally in House Daireanne might be critical to abating this threat.
"Lord Alejandro is a childling or wilder, and hurting. This was not the place for him, but there may be another place in your Duchy where he could shine. I would like to see him have that opportunity and perhaps another Daireanne can help him see that too."

She finishes writing that, when Sir Jack comes in

"Sir, can you travel immediately?"

"You got it, your excellency" He bows "Speeed of the essence? I'll be quick"

"Yes." she seals the letter and hands it to him "Sensitive information there. Destroy it before letting it out of your hand before you hand it to Duke Tieron. Your hand to his, Sir."

"My hand to his" A nod, and the street knight slips it into his coat and moves going NOW

Jess nods and sets pen to paper again; this time to create as fullsome a description of Lord Alejandro and all his known associates. By appearance, habit, features, voice, proclivities, and nature; anything that will help identify him and his.

It has been sometime but she has a good memory. Her father was a mountain and kept records, and the apple in this case is not so far from the tree

"Constance?" trusting the scribe will be within the sound of her voice.

"Here, your excellency" She steps back in. She is all business now.

And likely still blaming herself

"Thank you. Can you ask Johnny and Otem to join me?" busy writing.

"RIght away" the Scribe nods

and goes out

It's not quite right away... more like ten minutes for Johnny "Otem is on a patrol but he's expected back in the next half hour"

Jess takes a deep breath. "Ok. Sorry to ask this but could you get either Phobos or Demos to join us for this? I had a moment to think."

JOhnny blinks "You called for me to call for your redcaps?" Amused

"No, I called you and Otem to meet with me, but then I had a minute to think and I really should include one of them in the meeting. Since we're going to wait for Otem, maybe you can get them? Or...." she stands "You wait here, I'll get them."

"No no, I was just confused. I'll get them" He says 'Besides, I know where Phobos is. I can tell something is botheirng you and I shouldn't have teased. Be right back"

She nods and reviews her notes, to see if she missed anything.....?

Not that she sees

and soon Phobos comes in "Boss? What's up?"

Johnny is with him

And then Otem enters

Suddenly it seems all here

"Gents, please sit down. Anyone need a drink?"

"I'll get it" Nancy says. She wasn't invited but maybe she was with Phobos

Jess waits until people have whatever they need. "Nancy, Sir Jack is on a mission. He said he would travel fast and return as quickly as he could. Would you set something up so people know I need to see him as soon as he returns? A watch, or something?"

"I parked my car inside the walls; we need to keep it off the street. Can you get watchers on my apartment too?"

"And, Fontaine. I haven't checked in with him but I will shortly. Can you touch base and see if he's ok, if there's anything he needs?"

Nancy says 'On it , on it all" SHe says and races off

Jess rises and shuts the door. "Gentlemen..." and she tells them from start to now.

"Johnny, Otem... I'm concerned that Lord Alejandro may try to cause trouble between us and the Nunnehi to hide his activities against me. And, because he wants to."

"Phobos, we'll need to be alert to anyone allied with Lord Alejandro, and he, himself."

"Not just here at Fenix but throughout the County."

"After I hear back from the Duke I am prepared to make these notes public, but for now.... please keep them to yourselves." she passes around the BOLO sheets.

Otem nods frowning "So, there was no person spying but a cat"

Phobos snorts "SUre will. That ingrateful shit"

Johny looks over the sheet

"Well, the cat wasn't spying as much as someone put a listening device on the cat and the cat did what cats do. I'm sure the listeners got a lot of time listening to snoozy purring."

"But I will say.... when I find out who had access to Mamacita and put the collar on her? I am going to have some seriously pointed questions for them."

Demos nods "I'll make sure they answer them" An offer

"Done." she accepts!

"How much do you think ALiendro's agents have overheard?" Johnny asks

"Not sure. I'll ask Constance to join us. This isn't her fault but I think she feels somewhat responsibile." a deep breath "In the meantime....." she sighs "I've asked the Duke for assistance. Sir Jack is taking him the letter and will return as quick as he can. I want to keep us all safe; that's why my instructions to Nancy. You three are my trusted ones in this. You know everything I know. No one else hears anything they don't have to until we hear from the Duke. If we get assistance that will help guide what we do. If not.... well, that will too."

"We absolutely do -not- need some kind of blood-feud with Daireanne on top of everything else."

Otem frowns "These Dairean are to be feared?"
