She girds her soul, and tries to casually make eye contact with the woman.

She notices the eye contact. If it was a guy she'd probably tap at her plugs in the universal clue that she didn't feel like being hit on, which some guys get some don't. But as Jessica is another woman she clicks them off "Si?"

"Pardone mi....." Jessica continues in Spanish ".... have you seen my brother?" she shows the phone-photo of the jogger to her.

SHe looks over and responds in SPanish "Si. I have!" She sounds surprised "He was looking confused, as if someone was following him. I asked if he needed help, but he said something about 'too many colors' and left. It was like 16 minutes ago? I.. hope your brother didn't try drugs?"

"As do I. Do you know which direction he was going? Did he look well otherwise?"

She blushes "Quite nice. Ah.. he went that way" She gestures "Down there, then a hook to the right.. after that I don't know"

Jess nods and heads out with purpose. Not running, that attracts attention, but with urgency.

And she moves that way, if he's starting to slip, she might be able to ken a trail

And she feels it, the glamour trail, she hunts quickly moving

Knowing what she does about Chrysalis, she has her maul at the ready, but ... you know, causally.

It takes a bit

And then finds him in a circle of Chimera .. Jaguars looping about him. "Oh holy shit.."

Jessica doesn't charge in if he's not in immediate crisis or danger; she watches to see what he does need.

"Gatos grande, bien bien.. don't eat me . I taste of poor choices and shallow interests!" He assures the chimerial beasts as they circle him "I'm... are you even real?"

She's ready... but she watches.

"Hey, lady you need to get to safety and..." A pause "Are you blue?"

He flickers in on the cusp

"Yes." she says calmly "I'd like to help you, if you'll let me?"

"Are you a jaguar tamer?" He asks

"Um. Sort of. In a manner of speaking." she keeps an eye on the chimera; threatening? Attacking?

Looking hungry as if checking him out.. for a taste test, but they haven't attac ked... yet

Jessica -wants- to step between him and the chimera but... she doesn't. Yet. "Are you?" she asks in return.

"I think I took something spiked in LSD I... swear I feel the weight of..." he touches his side where a coiled whip flcikers in and out

"... something on your hip. I can see it." not TOO much of a stretch.

He grabs the whip, blinks, and then... a bold look enters his eyes, and he cracks the whip... nearly taking out his own eye, but the great cats jump back !

"How does it feel?" Jessica shifts to be ready to move out of range if needed.

"it feels.. exciting" He aadmits, and cracks the whip in the air again, and the sky rumbles in response, and it begins to rain ... not just water, but each drop reflects an image of adventure or travel

The jaguars move about him "Okay okay... we were only going to eat you if you didn't show your true self. "

Jessica gauges him; has he broken through? Is he his Dreaming self?

And indeed he has.. staring with eyes that seem to contain paths yet untrod.

Jessica smiles. "Welcome to the Dreaming, friend. I'm Jessica."

"I'm... no, that's odd. My old name feels clumsy in my tongue," he laughs deeply

"It might." she agrees "What name feels right?"

"Apolonio?"

"Yes, Apolonio... feels right"

"Sounds good." she says.

"Would you like to meet some others?" she invites.

He motions the chimera away "Off with you, feast on four legged prey , please" And he looks over at the troll "I would! I.. thank you"

Jessica motions him to come with her, and she steps out into the street.

And he follows, trailing glamour

She guides him back towards Fenix, wary of any chimera that take interest and ready to defend him as needed.

And that's when the buzzard bat attacks! The GIANT Buzzard Bat!

Her maul isn't -great- against airborne threats, but she -can- use the reach she has, and the further reach it gives her. Her stance isn't unlike a batter's as she squares off to it.

"Adventure!" Apolonio's whip comes out and snags it's leg, setting up the shot for Jessica, who hammers the creature
