For Jessica , it proves to be nice to have mom there. Sure, she wants to be taken seriously, but Jessica finds there's fun in being a childling, playing basketball with Ariel, while her mom nods approvingly (By troll standards this is cheering her on!). For Brekke, she can see her little girl is , even as a childling, diligent and determined. Troll stubborn, but also polite and looking out for others even when not mature. A few plans are suggested, or made. And, Brekke even gets a rare surprise. Jessica cannot one night, can NOT sleep. So Brekke offers to read to her, it.. has helped with other childlings. Impressed by the logic, Jessica allows. And, Jessica is enthralled by a reading of one of Brekke's favorite child stories.. something she hasn't spoken of much. And Jessica listens raptly, then, when it is done, yawns, and..falls asleep against her mom's side.
